Drug Testing Persuasive Speech

I am writing this informational paper to inform you on the dangers of drugs and why we need drug testing at our school. Drug testing is a good idea since many of the students do take drugs even though staff thinks otherwise. I think drug testing will slow down the intake of drugs tremendously, and will be a scapegoat from the any situation where they are offered a drug. There are many long and short term effects of doing drugs and finding a way to stop those effects will help all students. Many long term effects kill the user or speed up the arrival of their death. Some long term effects are lung damage, impaired thinking, heart damage, violent behavior, and lowered sex drive. The short term effects may only seem to be small at times, but contribute to the long term effects tremendously. Some short term effects are feeling calm,
It is good for coaches to find out so that the coach can tell the family so the person gets help and gets the disciplinary action that is deserved. It is healthier for the family so they do not have any second hand smoke or so younger uneducated children don't get harmed from the substance. It is a lot healthier for the user so that they do not put their health at risk and so their future is jeopardized because of a dumb choice that happened in high school that follows them for the rest of their life. I believe drug testing will only do good for our schools and will help our school create a better image and have a better and healthier environment for the students and teachers. I believe drug testing will benefit the users in the long run for their safety and future. It helps friends of users so they won't be dragged into doing the drugs. Only good can come out of drug testing so I think it would be a very smart thing to do if our school takes time and looks into funding drug
