Driver's Execution Controversy
A driver suffered a medical emergency while driving in Worcester Friday and crashed into a building.
An investigation revealed that a 74-year-old man was driving a GMC Canyon west on Pleasant Street around 4 p.m. Officials believe that near the intersection of Pleasant and Mill Street, the man became ill and lost control of his vehicle. The car went on to crash into a utility pole and then the office building at 617 Mill St.
When emergency officials arrived, the man was taken to the hospital but later died.
The extent of damage to the building is not known at this time.
