Coming from an area to which the term “JROTC” is completely unheard of, I did not quite know what to expect upon entering this class. What I found was a fantastic group of kids that are eager to learn and indulge in all that this has to offer. I was an elementary student when I heard about the JROTC program. My high school friends once told me about it and were encouraging me to join the program. Somewhere along everybody’s life’s, one exceeds a sense of leadership and moral standards. It is within and only within this program, in which you will find yourself succeeding in most that you do. Until I finally made my way to high school, I was known to be a cadet and additionally, a student also.…
The Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps I a Federal Program sponsored by the United States Armed Forces in high schools across the U.S the military has stated that JROTC will inform young Americans about the opportunities available in the military and may help motivate young Americans toward military service. NJROTC is not only to teach us about the navy but is allowing us to become great leaders in the future. In this program I have learn three things: Honor, Courage, and Commitment. From my personal experience, team related questions are the most frequently asked questions in job interviews. Companies want to know the interviewees’ experience with diversified teams, because they want to know the type of team player of the interviewee. As most companies function in the unit of a team, it is increasingly important for employees and managers to understand how a team works, and how to transit smoothly from different stages. The Army Crew Team case reveals the frustration associated with declining performance by the varsity boat at the United States Military Academy. The symptoms are obvious, but the root causes lie underneath the symptoms. Multiple factors from multiple parties contributed to the situation. The best solution that addresses the root causes will be discussed in the conclusion.…
Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) program can be a three-year journey of life changing experiences that build character and leadership. I was a sophomore when I first join JROTC, and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Throughout my student life being a cadet, I was challenged physically, mentally, and emotionally. But I was able to learn more about teamwork and leadership. The curriculum consists of practical exercises that directly target an individual’s leadership and character. JROTC has taught me what I would not have learned in any other class in high school. Cadets have overcome fears and have formed lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories. Overall, they have found JROTC has molded a sense of character within them just it has for me.…

JROTC first interested me when I saw that my brother, Raul Garcia, was in it. Ever since he joined JROTC I saw how responsible and mature he became. There are also special teams, which compete against other schools.…

Since then this program has flourished and now has over 1,000 units in schools and colleges throughout the nation with more than 274,000 cadets enrolled. The main purpose of JROTC is not to prepare cadets for the military, but to instill certain morals and values into the cadets that will prepare them for whatever path they choose to take in life. One of my main reasons for joining JROTC was fist to better myself as a person. JROTC main mission is to “motivate young people to become better citizens”. In the Cadet Creed it’s stated that us as cadets will “Work hard to improve my mind, and strengthen my body”. This is exactly what JROTC has helped me do, with our cadet challenge I’ve maxed out on both my pushups, and sit ups. Another reason for me joining JROTC was because I wanted to be a part of something way larger then myself where I could be given a chance to be in charge or a leader. In this program the cadets run everything from the being in charge of the Tiger Company to the side teams such as Drill Team and the Raider Team.…
