1.0 Introduction


Inventory is the raw materials, work-in-process goods and completely finished goods that are considered to be the portion of a business's assets that are ready or will be ready for sale. Inventory represents one of the most important assets that most businesses possess, because the turnover of inventory represents one of the primary sources of revenue generation and subsequent earnings for the company's shareholders/owners. Sales are the act of meeting prospective buyers and providing them with a product or service in turn of money or other required compensation.

Clinical system is a computer-based system that is dedicated to the collection, storage, manipulation and presentation of all the clinical information important to deliver of patient care. The system also supports staff activities that can facilitate and access information. It enables the clinic manager to efficiently manage their clinics daily operation needs. Its database contains patient’s personal information, date of their every consultation, documents and files, with this system in place, the clinic can provide data whenever requested by the client.

1.1 Background of the Study
History of the Company
Dr. Erwin V. Corleto dental clinic located at 311 gen. P. Alvarez St. San Rafael II, Noveleta, Cavite. It was established on august 08, 1988. The Dr. Erwin V. Corleto dental clinic rendered the following services: 1. Oral Prophylaxis

2. Restoration of Teeth
3. Fabrication of Prosthesis (dentures)
4. Oral Surgery (extraction)
It strives to meet the needs of its patients for total value by offering a good service. The clinic is equipped of one dental chair unit. Complete dental instruments, four air conditioning units, reception area, two television sets, and dental supplies.

The main problem concerning the clinic is that they do not have a centralized and accurate system for storing records they have, these are very important to them. How they will have file maintenance and will lessen the burdens of works they usually do in getting, keeping, and updating the files. Based on the interview conducted with Dr. Corleto, she said that the clinic has no patient record system. Also, the clinic finds it difficult to attract clients due to lack of advertisements. They presented to the researchers the unorganized files of the business that affect the quality of their service. And the problem affects the business further development, the business used the traditional manual system because of they do not have enough knowledge in computer- based system. As the result, the business experienced hard and long procedure in accessing the records they have when it is needed and the redundancy of the records.
