Dont Get Me Started On Smoking
DON’T GET ME STARTED ON SMOKING

What is smoking? Smoking is a disease that is currently it has killed over billion of people over the world. Recently Health officials reported that smoking in the UK are not going down, and that one of five adults are still smoking regularly, is this life? Even kids have been influenced to the world of smoking to hear this is such nonsense in my beautiful ear. I find this extremely disappointing, especially considering that smoking is the number one cause of “Preventable deaths in this country”. I mean, what this people are thinking is a diabolical contraption.
Well if someone was to ask me what I hated most in the world it would have to be smoking and cats, but in this situation it would have to be smoking.
If I was to start about the negative side of smoking I would make a novel out of all the negativity inflicted by smoking so I would start with what I fell about smoking and what other people fell about it.
You know that smoking is bad for you but why do people smoke? also on the news all the time there is always something negative about smoking and adverts on TVs continuously about why smoking is bad for people’s health. Even on the Cigarette box I was flabbergasted to see an advert, it’s a message saying things like, tobacco can harm your children, Cigarettes cause strokes and heart disease, but people still choose to ignore this. I have actually seen an old man read the warning on a cigarette box saying “BEWARE! CIGARETTES CAN KILL YOU!” and he ignored the warning and still bought the cigarettes and I am pretty sure a lot people still ignore tis warnings.
I think the so called “reasons” most people do not comprehend that smoking is bad for them is because they are ignorant of the bad effect of smoking or they are addicted, but that is not an excuse for destroying their lives. It is imperative that one should get support for their endeavour to quit smoking.
Do we really need this much amount of needless deaths happening around us?
Smoking can cause many life-threatening diseases. When you smoke, the effects on your body are immediate. Your pulse increases and your breathing become faster and shallower. Plus your circulation begins to drop. Before you know it, you will have heart disease. Also, cigarettes contain many cancer-causing substances, which hit your lungs and will leave you with lung cancer, another life-threatening disease. A few problems these toxins cause when inhaled regularly are: gingivitis, skin that ages early, lung disease and destroys your appearance. These same problems can be inflicted on the smokers’ loved ones when they smoke around them
Along with harming yourself, you harm many others. Just like smokers, anon-smoker breathing second-hand smoke is exposed to roughly 3, 500 different chemicals. Many of them can be poisonous; others are powerful cancer-causing substances, such as formaldehyde.
Also there is nothing worse than sitting at the bus top waiting for a bus with someone smoking right beside you, it’s revolting and offensive. Not only do your clothes stink when you get to school or when you get home it also chokes you, personally I detest this and I am absolutely sure other people hate this as well.
In conclusion I clearly understand the reason people can’t stop smoking but we can’t really blame

DON’T GET ME STARTED ON SMOKING

them can we? It’s not their fault they can’t stop this so called plague called smoking, Writing a big book on why I hate smoking won’t help anyone but I believe people can change if we believe in them and do our best to help them

"Cigarettes kill you" that was the warning provided in the box – cigarette packs at this time. The sentence is very simple. However, if the note its meaning, this sentence is very terrible. This is also evident in the use of warnings on cigarette packaging. Health warnings have been printed on the front of cigarette packets since 1971, and there was a time when a simple ‘Smoking Kills’ would convince consumers to think twice about their need to smoke. However, as of October 2009, all cigarette packets in the UK must carry a picture warning, suggesting that discouraging language is no longer compelling enough to stop smokers…

Ironically, as recent as the 1940’s smoking was considered harmless and the overall attitude of people was that smoking relieved tension but research has since confirmed that smoking causes many diseases detrimental to one’s health such as cancer, cardiovascular and lung diseases. "Smoking is not just suicide, its murder." The Chilean Corporation Against Cancer's Ad suggests smoking doesn't just effect the consumer, it effects everyone around them. Children exposed to secondhand smoke are just as vulnerable of getting a disease caused by direct smoking. As a society, we frown upon the usage of drugs, but when it comes to smoking we barely acknowledge the fact smoking is just as bad as any other drug. The agency Draftfcb's brutal depiction of smoking may have hard-hitting visuals but it makes it's point very clear. Children don't have a choice when it comes to secondhand smoke. Unfortunately, there is nothing they could do to stop it. The cruel strategy of the ad is what makes it so effect.…

Do you smoke? Have you ever think about how smoking Tobacco is harmful and dangerous for health and can cause a slow death. I am a non-smoker and I think that there are three main reasons why a smoker should quit smoking. Firstly, smoking will affect the smoker body and life. It will cause a lot of serious deceases like lung cancer, emphysema, high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, reduces the flow of oxygen to the brain and even can lead to birth effects. According to the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, stroke is the third leading cause of death in the United States, killing upwards of 150,000 people each year. For smokers, the risk of stroke is nearly 2-1/2 times that of non-smokers. Secondly, smoking affects not only the person who inhale it directly, but also the people around that person. Those people are forced automatically to perform a passive smoking which is more dangerous when compared to direct smoking. That’s why the non-smoker hates the smell of tobacco and do not want to sit next by the smoker. Even more, smoking gives the smoker a bad breath and repulsive smell. Finally, smoking is a very expensive habit, and the price of cigarettes continues to rise in order to reduce the percentage of smokers. The addicts have to spend a lot of money on cigarettes in which he can use this money in something better for his life. A smoker should really think seriously about giving up this bad habit by going to a treatment center or by taking a serious action in quitting. (271 word)…
