Donald Trump: Abolishing The NFL
In 2017, Donald Trump was abolishing the NFL player’s natural rights. According to the First Amendment, citizens have the freedom of speech and assembly. Several popular NFL teams kneeled or refused to participate in the National Anthem to protest unity. Donald Trump disharmonized the NFL players and coaches who choose those dishonorable acts. Although the NFL’s actions were dishonored, how were Trump’s tweets/comments significant? Freedom of Speech/Assembly allows the players to say/do whatever they please in a peaceful manner. According to ______, “The protests were part of a massive show of solidarity in the face of harsh criticism by President Trump, who had called for protesting players to be fired.” The government cannot legally fire
