Domestic Violence and where it is going hypothetical solution
Domestic violence in today’s society is unseen force to be reckoned with not only is this force unseen but more the less seemingly unstoppable. In this research paper I will attempt to unveil the mask of undeniable its negative force which lashes at anyone who stands in the way and challenges it. Today we have begun to recognize domestic violence but don’t seem to quite get a firm grip on it. We have numerous laws, programs, funding’s, organizations and congress people all in the effort to combat domestic violence. Though the fight is being fought the war is far from done. Domestic violence is treacherously known not to discriminate. It affects all of us (society) as a whole because of this known factor. Another hidden factor is the silence and secrecy from the victim. This “cold silence” helps the machine keep fuel to the feed its appetite. For example domestic violence hits the home hard. Children and men rarely report these situations. Men who are known as a dominant figure or aggressor as their role in society rarely report or even talk about domestic violence. None of the less a child with very few physical attributions to overcome their perpetrator live fear of talking or getting helps. Where does domestic violence come from? Some believe it is hereditary some believe it is learned and in some case it can be associated with an illness. There are plenty of hypothesis and studies no one can say for sure. One prevalent answer is domestic violence exist. The wicked backlash of domestic violence is it perception of society. The laws we built in society have invaded a monstrous head of justice against males in our society. Males a rarely looked upon as victims, in result our laws are fierce and unsympathetic unlike the male counterpart (female) who are always seen as the victims do with the male. In many instances domestic violence is consistent with its choice of victims. The male species is also battered from domestic violence. Not only physical abuse beats up men as well as any of its other victims, but mental abuses dominates males in society. Mental abuse is like silent weapon domestic violence uses to sneak attack their victims. Rarely heard of or talked about domestic violence including its victims even bring this level of violence up in the equation. The main reason for this silent absence is due to the fact that majority of the people in the society do not even know the signs of mental abuse let alone report it. It will be more than difficult to address this weapon of domestic violence. Majority of this is transferred through our everyday communication. Domestic violence should be researched by the medical /behavioral field more attentively. The solution of law has done nothing but confused this uphill battle with more questions than before. Also put a strain of the judicial system and its financial responsibilities. I am in favor of more clinical studies on domestic violence as to throw away the key method, which in turn sweeps dirt under the rug not pick it up. At least on a medical view we can try to assess, attain and address (some kind of method or model) victims also included. Victims should have an extensive rehab program built for them not just standard program or procedures, but a unique individual program. For example Battered women can’t relate with battered men. The correlation are to not parallel. You have two different situations similar but not, therefore these programs should focus on correlation amongst victims. In many cases domestic violence is not reported. There is a lot of the unknown on domestic violence. Imagine all the domestic violence that people does not even recognize they are victims...
