The American Association of College of Nursing (AACN) recommends that all advanced practice nurses (APN’s) should have a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. DNP degree will provide the highest level of knowledge and expertise to care for patients applicable at all times as well as in any clinical setting.
