Diversity in the U.S.A
DIVERSITY IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Walking into a local Wal-Mart the first things noticeable is the many different people strolling by. There are African Americans, Caucasians, a Mexicans and much more. Just by the looks of it you can see that America is a very diverse place. Diversity can put an important influence on our complex society in America. Diversity is important to our nation because of the new values that are learned from each individual culture; it helps to overcome prejudices, and also helps us understand each other’s perspectives. Initially, diversity itself plays an exceptional role in America because of the new values that are learned from ones culture. A person can easily display their culture or their lifestyle by the way they speak, the clothing they choose to where and the food they choose to eat. If someone were to have a Mexican friend then they can easily pick up a few things from that friend like, they may catch on to some of the words she is saying or she may even tell a story about one of the important aspects in her culture. I myself have even learned a few things from having a Mexican friend. For example a fiesta de quince años, fiesta de quinceañera, quince años or simply quince, is the celebration of a girl's fifteenth birthday in parts of Latin America and elsewhere in communities of people from Latin America. It marks the transition of a girl from childhood to young womanhood. Clearly, the diversity in America is very beneficial to our society. Moreover, the diverse society of the U.S is a very important aspect because it helps to eliminate some levels of ignorance and prejudices in this country. America and the world itself are still full of hatred and negativity. Having a diverse community can slowly but gradually help overcome some of these opinions towards a certain group of people. Two different people on a job assignment ,may have negative thoughts about each other based on the others

The information that I have learned about diversity in the United States of America has helped me better understand and relate to others in many ways. The United States of America is a giant melting pot of several different races, ethnicities, and cultures. What I have learned is that each group has their differences and similarities. With these differences in culture they have taught me how to be tolerant and accepting of them no matter how different from me they appear. By accepting the differences in our diverse society I have learned new thoughts and ideas of living, different perspectives of thinking, and have been introduced to a variety of foods that I have never tried before. All in all, it seems in the end that many racial and ethnic groups are different, but they share one common interest which is to love one another and be happy. The most beneficial thing to our society would be the focus on the main interest of all, instead of focusing on how different we are when compared to one another. Focusing on the differences between one another and judging others based on them was something that was done in the past. However, I had come to realize that focusing on the differences and closing the opportunity to learn about other cultures, races, and ethnicities was hindering me in life.…

Diversity is an important part of American culture. Cultural diversity has helped to shape the way we live everyday as well as the different foods we eat. What really thought me about diversity is that it is not limited just too racial or ethnic groups but other minority groups. The new information I have learned about diversity still has not changed my views. I think it is important to learn about others cultures and backgrounds. Without knowledge about other cultural groups we would only have stereotypes to go off of. Stereotypes without proper knowledge can lead to discrimination or prejudices.…

Diversity in society helps us to grow as individuals and open our minds to different ways of life. When you become exposed to different ways to live, and see how other cultures carry on then you are no longer closed to the idea that we are all different in some way, and those differences can be meaningful in our lives. When it comes to diversity it also promotes more tolerance. In terms of being tolerant that means diversity can help us accept other cultures, and even…

Looking at me you might wonder what I could possibly understand about diversity – middle class white male, college educated, married with two children, a boy and a girl. These broad generalizations describe me, but they do not define me; just as similar ones about others are equally uninformative. They note apparent features while failing to capture inherent uniqueness. To me, diversity encompasses respect and acceptance, concepts defined by actions taken to recognize and understand individuality, not simple toleration of obvious differences. Although I do not write articles or participate in protests demanding change, I quietly respect the dignity of individuals and value their perspectives. My service in the United States Army has profoundly shaped my attitudes and guided my actions supporting these beliefs.…

America means diversity. The fact that there is not even an official language, reminds us that this country throughout history has been shaped by immigrants from all over the world. As consequence, diversity lead us to judge and have stereotypes. Like animals, we label consider fellow human beings as non-part of our group. When we think we do not belong to our group, we reject and trend to deny their conditions and human dignity. History is a cruel teacher that shows us how it has come to violent movements such as genocide, deaths, and the extermination of the ones considered different.…

Population diversity in America is huge since we consider the melting pot of the world. This is one place where we all are free without being prosecuted for who they are. Now I know that as I wrote that you might a went what, but that’s true. We are a country built on freedom of the sort. Diversity in the classroom impact on my student’s education is of the most important. The way we behave, learn and view the world is based on who we meet in life. Kids tend to become like copy cats to their friends and parents, monkey see monkey do. Also, how diverse a daycare is shown me how kids will preserve others as they get older. The best example I can find is how babies cry with each other, without knowing the other. It’s not until we put it into…
