Diversity Assignment: I Am Unique My physical description; fair skinned, my race is Caucasian, I am a female with long red hair, I am at an average height for an adult American woman, and I have green eyes. I grew up in what society would term as a ‘‘poor socioeconomic class.'' My parents got divorced when I was five years old. My Mother was a single Mother, and a hard worker. My reading style will help my students a great deal because a large majority of people are auditory learners, and given that I also identify with that, I feel that I will be able to assist my students learn in a manner that they can best retain new material.
My life and my life experiences have influenced me to want to make a difference in as many people's lives as possible. I had great parents, but I did see a large amount of domestic violence at one period in my life, I also witnessed a lifetime of low income and what kind of stress that can have on children. I feel that since I have experienced quite of few stressors growing up, I can do my best to get in touch with my pupils and give them at least one place they can feel happy and
