Diversity affects the classroom positively and makes people more effective by providing different perspectives. Variety in a class setting provides people with different backgrounds they might have not known about before. In her article “What Is Cultural Diversity?”, Lisa D. Belfield, stated in another way that everyone is progressing to include cultural diversity everywhere. Belfield claims that we can study from each other, but we have to make an effort to understand anyone who is different than us (Belfield). That means that we actually have to try to get to know each other instead of waiting for it to happen.
