Throughout history, many influential people have greatly contributed to the world by achieving their goals. Without goals, they wouldn't be able to make the world better and cause a large impact on history. Having goals provides motivation to be a hard worker and also gives direction for lives.

A significant outcome of having a goal is that they motivate people to work harder. For instance, in the book Divergent, Beatrice Prior's dream is to be an actual Dauntless member. However, in order to be a part of the Dauntless family, she would have to overcome several nerve-racking challenges.
