Disruptions in Homeostasis
Homeostasis is the maintenance of a constant environment in response to internal and external stimuli. The body requires the constant and healthy environment that only homeostasis can provide Without this environment the body wouldn’t be able to carry out the life support process. An example of a normal disruption in homeostasis would be if one were to raise the temperature. The body would respond by ejecting and liquid from your body, called sweat. Sweating is meant to cool down the body. Another example of a normal disruption of homeostasis would be if say, one were to be out side playing for hours. Your body would be tired do to lack of nutrients. The best way to fix such a thing would be to eat something to restore nutrient, preferably something nutritious and healthy, like an apple. The purpose of this paper is to examine and understand the maintenance of homeostasis. Any questions pertaining to the disruption and maintenance of homeostasis will be answered. A disease is a disorder of structure of function in a human, animal, or plant. The disruption of homeostasis by a disease is due to to diseases physical affect on a person. Some can cause the sniffles and and a cough, while others could he much more serious consequences. No matter the severity, any and all diseases disrupt homeostasis. Cancer, Sickle Cell, and Diabetes al disrupt homeostasis in their own unique way. Cancer poisons a certain organ or organ system, disrupting homeostasis in a very big way. Now, if one were to have Sickle Cell aimena then the blood would be very thin and one would be constantly wary. Type 1 diabetes prevents the body from creating insulin; therefore, it disrupts homeostasis. Diseases can cause symptoms in many ways. For example: Sickle Cell causes many symptoms. One of these symptoms is Jaundice, the yellowing of the skin and eyes. The liver becomes overwhelmed by the collapse of weakened blood cells, causing damage and the eventual yellowing of the skin and eyes. With the
