On June 25, 2009, Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication after he suffered cardiac arrest at his home in the Holmby Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles, California. Jackson's death also triggered an outpouring of grief around the world, this created a staggering climb in the chart of his most famous songs and songs from the jackson 5. Jackson had intended to perform his concert series entitled This Is It to over one million people at London's O2 Arena, from July 13, 2009 to March 6, 2010 His public memorial service was held on July 7, 2009, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where he had rehearsed for the London concerts the night before his death. His memorial service was broadcast live around the world, attracting a global audience of up to one billion people. After Jacksons death there were alot of conspiracies going around about his personal physician, corad murrray, being involved in the death of jackson. Murray was put into prison but paid out his bail of $750, 000. It was also a fact that michael had been badly addicted to painkiller on and off for the last decade and that he was badly underweight right up to before he died. The death of michael had a massive affect on the public, when his death was announced the news spread quickly online causing websites to slow down and crash from user overload. Google initially thought that the input from millions of people searching michael jackson meant that the search engine was under attack as did many other websites. Just an hour after his death he had already had 1 million visitors to his website page.
