Discursive Essay Abortion
Abortion isn't a bad decision when it comes to not wanting a baby. For example, when the mother has health issues or any other medical issue, abortion is an option so the baby doesn't get affected. A mother has the decision in order to choose abortion knowing if she thinks it's the best for her condition or self. It shouldn't be considered as murder even when it's at 10 to twelve weeks. Even though parts of the body, such as; the legs, arms, it is not considered a human being. Pro-abortionists fully believe that mothers have the right to kill their baby even a week before the baby is born. They are authorized morally and medically to go for an abortion.

If any women would like to get an abortion, they would have to go see a doctor in order to make that happen. Also, they would have to make a quick process and get on medication. Doctors are nonjudgmental about the decision of abortion. They usually make you feel secure and confident about your decision. Usually when a women goes out for abortion, they know their reasons for it don't have to be justified. The Catholic Church is familiar with abortion meaning mortal sin. For example, if someone was raped and became pregnant, do you think they would be okay with having the rapist child? In that case, abortion would be the only

Many people think they are killing a "human being", but in reality they are not. According to the law, they are considered "human beings" once they come out of the body. Even though some people consider their abortion a mortal sin, I strongly disagree. Why? Because no one would want their kid to know that they were forcefully and unintentionally made. Without abortion, women wouldn't be able to be committed to work, education, life goals, or other long term serious relationship. Women should always have abortion in mind when they accidentally get pregnant, raped, or when they are just not

I don't agree with most of what the author says. When the author brings up abortion, they state "Liberals are so convinced that abortion is the best choice for women experiencing unexpected pregnancy..." Liberals are pro-choice, not pro-abortion. They want to respect the mother's decision, whether it is abortion or keeping the baby. Secondly, in the school choice paragraph, liberals want to fund the schools, for example, those in low-class neighborhoods, to prevent them from closing down and/or funding more classes. Still, the author did fail to provide credible sources to support their arguments, making their essay hard to stick by.…

Abortion is murder of an innocent life, and it is completely wrong in every way. There is no justification that could cover the fact that we are murdering our most defenseless human beings, and if anything we should be doing everything to protect them and keep them safe from danger, but yet some are doing the complete opposite. Abortion should never be an option, and one should never feel like abortion is the only choice because it is not the only choice. One must understand that abortion is not just, and people must come to their senses and realize the true outcomes of aborting a…

A last reason of why abortion is wrong (out of many) is that it is considered brutal murder. In 1982, Ronald Reagan stated: "Simple morality dictates that unless and until someone can prove the unborn human is not alive, we must give it the benefit of the doubt and assume it is (alive). And, thus, it should be entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." (Unknown. Abortion. 17 Oct. 2008. 6 Dec. 2012. http://www.standforlife.net). You are taking a life and killing a human being. The baby is alive and not just some 'group of cells' abortion doctors call them. You are painfully putting a child to death. It is wrong to…

Abortion goes against any idea of the sanctity of human ways. It ends up taking away an innocent child’s life; someone that never got the chance to experience the beautiful ways of the world. No civilized society permits one human to intentionally harm or take the life of another human without punishment, and abortion is no different.…

Then there are those who believe women should have the right to abort or carry a child to term are Pro-Choice. They believe the mother has the right to choose if the fetus is a living being according to the circumstances in her life. I feel that if a female is sexually active, at this point in her life she should know the potential end result of not protecting herself. Too many women become pregnant and choose to have abortions based on how the child may impact their lives. The fear of facing financial problems, having to deal with relationship issues or just not wanting to be a single mother has been a few of the reasons given for making this choice. I feel these reasons are wrong, as I stated earlier, from my perspective abortion is like murder. We are killing innocent children who do not get a chance to experience life, based on someone else’s choice. Women who engage in unprotected sex knowing they may become pregnant and decide abortion is the answer are not accepting the responsibility of their actions. By having an abortion, we are denying the mother the opportunity to raise the baby and usually this ends up hurting her emotionally at some point in her life.…

Abortion is the process of removing the fetus in the female’s body while she is pregnant. In our society, abortion is a real issue for some people. While it’s still illegal in our country as a result of our religion and our culture. However every person has his own viewpoints. There are the pro-choice activists and the pro-life activists. The main argument pertaining to abortion is whether or not a fetus is a "person" that is "indistinguishable from the rest of us" and if it deserves rights equal to women's. On this question there is a tremendous spectrum of religious, philosophical, scientific, and medical opinion, but it all really depends on who you ask. It's been argued for centuries. Fortunately, our society has recognized that each woman must be able to make this decision, based on her own conscience. To impose a law defining a fetus as a "person," granting it rights equal to or superior to a woman's, thinking, feeling, conscious human being, is not only arrogant but absurd. It only serves to diminish a woman's value. (Heritage House 76, Inc.)Under the view of pro choice supporters the embryo is not a baby since it can not survive and live outside the uterus since it receives everything needed to survive from the mother's body. In a sense the fetus dies but it was never living to begin with so it can not be considered an act of murder as pro-lifers would argue. More simply consider acorns and trees. (Robinson) Just as an acorn is a fertilized egg of the oak, that does not make it a tree. Sure it has the potential to become an oak tree, but it has not yet grown to that…

Having an abortion does not cause harm nor is it killing a person. So, is abortion really murder? When does a person become a person? Will you need a brain a heart and other working body parts? A fetus brain does not work while it is developing nor does its heart. Even we need our hearts to beat to be alive. The fetus does not feel pain while being aborted this is backed by science. The spinal cord and nerves are not developed to feel pain. 89-92% of all abortions happen during the first trimester, prior to the 13th week of pregnancy (CDC). 1.4% occurred after twenty-one weeks' of a pregnancy (CDC). The 1.4 that took place after the 21 week mark was because the fetus was fatal to mother if it was not removed. Embryos and fetuses are not independent beings. They cannot live on their own and are not self-sustaining. Birth days are counted from the day they take their first breath in this earth, not the time that a male and female conceive them. . The majority vote in favor in Roe v. Wade states that "the word 'person,' as used in the Fourteenth Amendment [of the US Constitution], does not include the…

How would it be like if you weren’t allowed to choose what happens to your future? Some women do not get the luxury of choosing for themselves due to some laws set and they do not get the option whatsoever. That should be different as women are the ones who carry the babies, not the ones who are voting against it. Even though the baby never had the chance to live life, women should have the right to choose what they want to do with their baby because it may be bad for the women herself to have to care of a baby, they may not be prepared for a baby, and we do not know their circumstances of the situation.…

People who choose to have abortions done, most of them probably do not know how it is done, or they just do not care due to their own selfishness and ignorance. There are different excuses that they use for having abortions. People who are pro-choice think that a person or mother has the right to do as she chooses with her own body (Being Pro-Choice). They believe that an embryo is not a human and has no rights of their own. Pro-choice campaigners argue that the surgical procedure is completely safe and harmless (Lowen). This is false. Choosing to have an abortion is putting a woman’s body at risk. A mother can have serious complications that can affect their health and their future pregnancies, if able to be pregnant again…
