On Monday, August 1, the training came to a culmination when 23 delighted campers arrived at the Boynton Harbor Marina excited and anxious to board three commercial dive boats, graciously provided by Splashdown Divers, Loggerhead Dive Charters, and Starfish Enterprise. Although the original plan to explore the Lofthus, a Norwegian cruise ship that sank in 1898 about 200 yards off of the Boynton Beach coast, was thwarted by choppy seas, the children happily sailed to Boynton Bay, near the Boynton Inlet, to explore marine life beneath the glistening water.…

After analyzing multiple sources of data it was clear that the behavior program Conscious Discipline helped reduce student misbehavior. One of the most important indicators that were reviewed to come to the conclusion that Conscious Discipline is effective is the data regarding the referral number per week per classroom. As shown in table chart one below each classroom reduced their referrals based on insubordination and misbehavior. Throughout each week, as the study progressed and the strategies were re-taught and reinforced there were fewer referrals. Criminal justice and security agencies are constantly accused of police brutality or exceeding the amount of force needed to subdue the suspect. With what policies and procedures do the officers, security or protective services use to determine the level of force? As (Huseyin, 2009) states society expects law enforcement officers to perform their duties in a professional manner, enforcing laws and maintaining peace within the community. The society also requires peace officers to maintain peace with peaceful means. The use of police force is a legal duty and obligation, but, unfortunately, the practice may be misused or abused by law enforcement officers who do not distinguish between the thin line of legal or essential use and excessive use of force. The ethical decision process of when to increase force comes from some standard training. Training teaches law enforcement that if the officer is in danger of being harmed or potential to harm others then force can be increased.…

When it comes to special education, discipline is a major concern in this area because many students are incessantly being expelled for their behavior issues that are caused by their disabilities. With the previous law students were excluded from school and received long suspension time because of their behavioral problems but when the new law was passed in 2004 students that are disable, is entitle to a free appropriate education under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and can no longer be expel from school if their behavior is due to their disability. With the new law, students can no longer be suspended for more than 10 days during a school term for behavioral issues and 45 days for weapon and illegal drugs. A Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) should be included within the special need students Individualized Education Plan (IEP) at the beginning of each school year so that the general education teachers is aware of the students behavioral problems and is able to handle them before the student get out of hand and the other students learning is disruptive. If students know what is expected of them in the beginning, I believe that they will try to keep their behavior under control especially when they are in a more controlled and structure classroom.…

    a. Self Discipline. Self discipline is a willing and instinctive sense of responsibility that leads you to know what needs to be done. Getting to work on time, knowing the job, setting priorities, and denying personal preferences for more important ones all measure how self disciplined you are. This is the highest order of all disciplines because it springs from the values you use to regulate and control your actions. The ideal situation is to motivate cadets to willingly discipline themselves, and exercise self control and direction to accomplish the task.…
