Subject: Improving Your Health While Reducing Health Costs

Do you want to improve your health or are you already living a healthy lifestyle? Doing so can save you money on your insurance deductible that jumped a significant $500 to $2,500 last year.

We understand the law requires everyone to pay the same increasing premium, regardless of each employee’s state of health, but this year we have developed a strategy with our insurance provider we like to think of as “Healthy Lifestyle”. Strategies like this are being successfully utilized in many workplaces and when implemented in our company, your insurance deductible can be reduced up to $1,250. The insurance will decrease your deductible for each health benchmark reached, which includes:

Non-smokers $500
Cholesterol $250
Body Mass Index $250
Blood Pressure $250
To help meet these benchmarks, the company will provide a fitness counselor who will develop a customized fitness plan for each participant, including; literature, fitness programs, and counseling. This plan not only saves you money, but more importantly, teaches you how to live a healthy lifestyle leading to a longer, happier, and more productive life. The insurance carrier provides a brochure to explain what these benchmarks are.
To take advantage of this potential life changing offer and the ability to save thousands, please fill out the application by January 15 to set up an appointment with the fitness counselor. Send the application to Melissa Mendoza at Human Resources and call Ext. 123 regarding questions.
