(Level 5) * What were Dimitri Mendeleev’s ideas about how elements were organised in the Periodic table? (Level 5) * In what year was Mendeleev awarded the Nobel Prize for Chemistry? (Level 4) * What were Mendeleev’s other achievements? How has this influenced society? (Level 7)

LEVEL 3| - I know what Dimitri Mendeleev discovered. I know what year he was born in and what year he died. (Presentation is POOR).| LEVEL 4| - I know what Dimitri Mendeleev discovered. I know what year he was born in and what year he died. - I can briefly explain what he discovered about the periodic table.- I know what year Dimitri Mendeleev achieved the Nobel Prize for Chemistry and I can name the element that is named after him in the Periodic table.(Presentation is BASIC).LEVEL IS RESTRICTED HERE IF WORK HAS BEEN COPIED OR PASTED FROM WEBSITES.| LEVEL 5| - I can do all the above in Level 4.- I can explain in detail Dimitri Mendeleev’s work about the periodic table and what he discovered.(Presentation is GOOD).| LEVEL 6| - I can explain in detail Dimitri Mendeleev’s work about the periodic table and what he discovered.- I can also include information about the work of John Newlands, Lothar Meyer and John Dalton and explain how their work led to the development of Dimitri Mendeleev’s discoveries about the Periodic table.(Presentation is EXCELLENT). | LEVEL 7| - I have listed Mendeleev’s other achievements and explained how these have influenced the society we live in today.(Presentation is OUTSTANDING).|
