Differences in the Beliefs of Transcendentalists and Anti-Transcendentalists

Transcendentalists had wide varieties of beliefs that were always changing to be right with the time. Though always changing and never having a set of beliefs the Transcendentalists generally agreed on certain key points in their philosophy:children are Gods most perfect creation, man is born good, and someone can only find god through nature. also that when you die your soul can go somewhere other tehn heaven or hell.

Anti-Transcendentalists also have key elements that are usually agreed on:one can only find God through good works and life experience, man is born with original sin, and man is one of the most destructive forces in nature. There are no Universal truths just peoples individual truths, and there is no otherpalce your soul goes other then Heaven and Hell.

One of Transcendentalists essential beliefs is that man is born essentially good. Where as the belief of anti-Transcendentalists believe that man is born with evil and the original sin. Transcendentalists however believe sins are not passes down from generation to generation.Anti-Transcendentalists belive that every soul is born with sin, that sin has been passed from the first man and woman to all of them, and must wipe it away with good deeds and noble acts.Therefor all humans must try to live a life without sin, and try to get rid of this sin.
