In the book, All Fall Down by Ally Carter, Grace, a sixteen-year-old girl, had just jumped off a cliff into the ocean in order to retrieve a scarf with the Israeli flag on it that got stuck on the flagpole of the old Iran embassy. After taking a plunge into the cool, dark water Grace swam to the beach and headed toward the Iran embassy. Once Grace had passed the no trespassing sign and climbed under the wooden fence, she could finally see the whole house. At the top of the four story embassy was the flagpole with the scarf hanging on it. After searching the outside for ladders, she found none and decided she had to go into the rotting house in search for the stairs. Grace soon found a broken window and climbed inside the house only to see…

Both of the girls had arrived to their home after taken separate school buses home, and I think one of the girls were abducted outside and one was abducted inside the house. I believe this because one schoolbag was found in the yard and the other one was found in the house and the alarm to the house had been deactivated, meaning that at least one of the girls had entered the house and deactivated the alarm. I think this is what happened because of the locations of the schoolbags. I can´t determine which one of the girls was abducted in the yard and which one had been abducted in the house because the text doesn't say if it was Sylvia´s or Gretchen´s bag in the yard and vise versa. The text doesn't say either what time the two girls came home, assuming that they didn't come home at the exact same time because they took separate buses home, which is making it hard to see which one of the girls he abducted first, the one in the house or the one in the yard. Probably, he abducted the girl in the yard first while the other one was already in the house because otherwise I think the girl who made it into the house would have reacted on the bag lying in the yard if she came home later and walked into the house.…

“I, with a number of other girls, was in the dressing room on the eighth floor of the Asch Building, in Washington Place, at 4.40 o’clock on the afternoon of Saturday, March 25, when I heard somebody cry ‘Fire!’” Unlike those on the ninth and tenth floors (the other two floors that our factory, the Triangle Waist Company, occupied), I did not climb out of exterior windows in desperation; I was kindly shown to a window in a crash door that I could fit through in order to climb downstairs. Instead of passing through the flames as many of my coworkers had to endure, I had the unique opportunity to run from the flames and to outrun the flames. Whereas many of my coworkers were jumping down from eighty and ninety feet in desperate need of a miracle,…
