My hero is honorable, selfless, and compassionate. My hero is George O’Malley. He was a surgical intern at Seattle Grace Mercy West until he died, saving a woman he didn’t know. George is a nerd who never really fits in. Even with his family, George is the oddball because he doesn’t want to talk about cars or shoot a turkey and he is smarter than his brothers. George has an amazing group of friends who are interns like him. He is always there for his friends even when they get all ‘dark and twisty’ or need a ‘person’ to talk to. His bed is always open for the girls when they have no one else to go to. George got off on a rough start during his intern year and failed his intern exams, but he persevered and became an intern again. George …show more content…
He shows these traits while at work and throughout his personal life. George is honorable because even after being in a lot of debt for going to med school, George decides to enlist and join the army. George enlists because of personal reasons but never completely joined. I say he didn’t completely join because after saying goodbye to his friends, George saved a women from getting hit by a bus and was hit instead. George didn’t die on impact, but died due to the severity of the injuries. George is also selfless due to the fact itself that he was working to become a surgeon. George sometimes worked 100 hour weeks with little sleep. As a surgeon, he had to give up his personal space to help patients. Compassionate is another way to describe George. George shows compassion by being able to comfort his patients and their family and with his friends. George partially understands what his patients family is going through because his own dad was in the hospital for a while. George is also always there to comfort his friends with whatever they may be going through, be it death of a mother, death of a lover, or
