This diet relies mostly on vegetables rich in fiber, and foods high in protein, like eggs, chicken, and beef as the body’s primary food source. One of the goals of this diet is to change the balance between carbohydrates, fats, and protein in your body, keeping your metabolism on an even keel resulting in a boost in energy level. The Atkins Diet also helps stop your craving for energy boosters such as sugar and starchy foods and helps with curving hunger. Good and effective weight loss methods are diets that restrict or exclude certain foods and focus on healthier foods. Over time it is said that a low-card diet works just as well as a low-fat diet at losing some weight. In a two year study both diets improved cholesterol that included group counseling. The low-carbohydrate diet got a bigger boost in their often called good cholesterol, about double the amount of those on low-fat. The low-carb diet has done better at weight loss in six months. According to Gary Foster, director of Temple University’s Center for Obesity Research and Education, who led the federally funded stud, he said “the low-carb boost is the kind one might get from medicines that improve HDL. People in today 's society all want to find the perfect solution to their weight problems. They are looking for a diet which would allow them to eat all the foods they love and still loose weight. Dr. Robert Atkins, founder of the Atkins Diet, devised a diet that allows people to eat such food as fried eggs, bacon, steak and other high-fat foods as long as they drastically reduced the amount of carbohydrates they consumed. Is this a safe and effective way to lose weight or do the people who choose to follow the Atkins plan suffer health problems later in life? Short-term studies indicate that following the Atkins diet allows people to reduce their weight without raising their cholesterol levels or incurring other heart related problems (J. Gage, 2003).…

The newer BH Diet is a 35-day program, in which you'll learn to eat carbs only with carbs, proteins only with proteins and fruits by themselves. The eating plan begins with an induction period during which you may go whole days eating only fruit. If your meal plan includes a carbohydrate, you will be done with fruit for that day. You can then eat carbohydrates as much as you want, but once you have protein, all your remaining meals for that day must be 80 percent protein. This is because, Mazel claims, your body uses specific enzymes to digest carbs, proteins and fruit and when you mix these foods, your body has a difficult time breaking down food. Mazel also suggests that fat is merely a symptom of digestion and when your body is digesting properly, you will see a reduction in body fat. Some of the Beverly Hills Diet rules are: Start your day with a piece of fruit, but only one each hour. Consume steak, shrimp, salad, baked potatoes, corn and wine during the first 10 days.…

My advice is people should see a good doctor before partaking in this journey. Diets do not tell us to change our way of living and eating. This is why people cannot remain smaller once they have actually lose weight. Dieting does not tell us to stop eating healthy. As a matter of fact, eating less food actually make our metabolism to slow and our bodies will cling on to the fat to survive. So, this practically makes it harder to lose weight.…
