If I were in Vaughn’s position, I’d like to talk to Walker first. Then make sure everything is clarified. Give Walker a chance to explain why she lied and what she supposed to do next. If she realized it’s unfaithful to make a lie and regret doing this. Another chance will be definitely given to her to work in the company. The same rule applied to Robert. Robert should not be blind-minded dealing with this situation. No clarification and explanation are given before firing Walker based on the facts provided by Vaughn. It’s unfair to Walker if she just made a lie which has nothing to do with her job.…

It is hard to decide how the OMP should deal with this matter, as it is a very seemingly minor conviction. However, lies should not be tolerated in a firm, as this is not a practice the OMP wants Wiley to carry over to his accounting work. I do not believe that firing is the proper way to deal with this situation. However I do believe that a strict warning be implemented, and he keeps his job conditional on the fact that he does not commit such an act again. This is important so that Wiley understands the severity of the situation and will think twice next time before he decides to leave out prudent information. I understand this is a risky decision, because the OMP and Sally do not want to promote this behavior and keep Wiley around only to find out that he has lied again, but next time in regards to his work. This would give the firm a bad name.…

William Wilson is the main character in Poe’s short story “William Wilson.” Poe tackles different kinds of themes through his story revolving around human nature and society in general. Here Poe explores the theme of doppelgängers. At the end of the story we learn that William Wilson’s double is not a real person, but his darker side. What Poe tries to demonstrate in his writing is that we all have two sides to our personality. Even though we may not show them, unlike he did, we have other parts of us that think differently. Through out his story we visit many periods of times in Wilson’s life, from his youth until his death. At first Wilson’s alter ego appears to be his conscience, giving him advice but by the end of the story, his double turns out to be more of a judge. Everything he did was influenced by his “other side,” he was not fully aware of. He traveled the world trying to escape his double, limiting him from success, but he was never able to. Until his imminent death arrived.…
