    Why Is Madrid Important

    • 279 Words
    • 2 Pages

Madrid's status as the national capital mirrors the unifying approach of the sixteenth century Spanish lord Philip II and his successors. The decision of Madrid, be that as it may, was likewise the consequence of the city's past indefinite quality and nonpartisanship; it was picked in light of the fact that it needed ties with a built-up non-royal force, instead of view of any vital, geographic, or financial contemplations. Without a doubt, Madrid is insufficient in different attributes that may qualify it for a main role. It doesn't lie on a noteworthy waterway, as such a large number of European urban communities do. Madrid does not have mineral stores or other riches, nor was it ever a destination of journeys, despite the fact that its holy patron, San Isidro, appreciates everything except special qualification of having been hitched to another holy person.…

In John Steinbeck’s novel, “Of Mice and Men”, this ambiguous question arises on George’s decision. Did George make the right choice to kill Lenny at the end of the story? There are many reasons why George decided to kill Lennie in the end; however, if George does not take the responsibility to kill Lennie, he would die anyway. Since Lennie was young, he always struggled fitting in and socializing with others because of his disability. Consequently George kills Lennie because Lennie is George’s responsibility, Lennie is a danger to society, and George kills Lennie for selfish reasons. Therefore the decision that George made was the right thing to do.…

Lazy - I say that Greg is very lazy, for several reasons. First, one time on his way to school he made Rowley, his best friend, carry him on a piggy back. Second, during the summer Greg would NEVER do any sports or get any physical activity instead he would just stay at home all day playing video games and since his dad expects him to be playing outside, every time right before his dad came home, he’d turn off his video games, run out to the backyard, run through the sprinklers and pretend to play football all by himself.…

Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck’s naturalistic novella, is a tragic tale of two men traveling together in the hardships of the Great Deal. Frequently throughout the book Steinbeck indirectly critiques the flaws that the Great Deal contained. Within the text migrant workers, Lennie Small, a kind hearted mentally handicapped man and George Milton, a small, yet mighty spirited man, take on the troubles of the early thirties. The tale begins with the men traveling to a ranch in Soledad for employment, their hearts full of a dream to earn enough money to purchase a place of their own. Soon after their arrival their dream heightens once they meet an elderly swamper, Candy, whom offers to join them and pitch in his stake towards their farm fantasy. At the ranch, George befriends a man of his own mentality, Slim, who is highly respected and considered a leader. Lennie befriends an unexpected man, Crooks, whom is a black handicapped stable hand. Lennie and George's acheival of their dream becomes hindered by the troublesome characters Curley, the boss's son and Curley's wife, Curley's “tart” of a wife.…

Diary of a Wimpy kid : Hard Luck is a series written by Jeff Kinney. It’s also a realistic fiction. I would also give the book 41/2 stars because it was interesting and it made me laugh a couple of times. It was also clear to read and fun to read too. My favorite part was when Greg had no friends, because his friend ditched him for a girl. The book is mostly about a kid named Greg who needs his best friends help to get through middle school or junior high. Then he says he needs his best friends help. But also when he has his best friend he says that he could live without him. Greg thinks when he grows up he is go to be a millionaire and all that rich stuff. He also is a trouble maker. In conclusion, that’s my opinion on the book Hard Luck.…
