Diary of Tybalt
Dear diary, Angry as I am, I saw that Romeo, from the Montague family, in my party, and right away, I knew my ball would be ruined. I would not enjoy this spectacular party which I have arranged because I had to deal with that BRAT! Who does he think he was to come in my party, how daring was it for him to had come here uninvited? So very crude. I heard his voice from afar, it irritated me. I immediatley knew I had to do something about it, I equiped my sharp blade, and once I was about to approach, my uncle had stopped me! He was drunk and didn't care about Romeo. He did not know what he was doing and I could not free my self from his strong grip, he wanted me to drink, but I had my mind at something else! I saw that little brat getting close to my cousin and kissing her! HOW HIDEOUS! If I was there I would have KILLED that Montague! The next time I see that fool I will show no mercy and torture him to DEATH, and show no hope! He had trully destroyed my evening and he shall regret it! Someday, he will die with my blade!
- Tybalt
Day 2
Dear diary, I dislike peace, hate hell and my detestation of the Montagues are beyond my imagination. It was revolting to see that Benvolio making all that peace, it just disgusts me so much; so weak and worthless. Seeing those those Montagues, destroyed my plans on that Sunday morning, while I was walking in Verona Square. I immiediatley got my sword out and offered to fight. But the fragile Montague declined, and instead makes PEACE! I do not accept peace, never! A futile slave of theirs bit his thumb at us Caplets. If I had great power like my precious Prince I were to vanquish the whole of the Montagues from Verona! They sickened me so much. The citezens of Verona joined in, but I ignore them, for I did not care. Lord Montague appeared in the scene but our Lady Caplet also arrived at our present. We fought in words until our Prince arrived to stop the hostility. Angry as I was, I still hated those

People of Verona, we are here today to grieve the loss of a precious child of God and most precious son to the Montague family. Romeo Montague was a young man who was like a son to me who has passed away due to a series of misfortunate events involving; who he believed was the love of his life, Juliet of the house of Captulet and myself. It is a fact that Romeo passed away far too soon however, we can still remember the memories and lessons that Romeo has left with, especially those of peace and the friendship that he believed could be had between the Montague house and the house of Captulet.…

In this scene Mercutio gets killed tempting Romeo to kill Tybalt which gets Romeo banished. But in this scene the feud is actually strengthened, this is because the scene just made the two families hate each other more. In the text Lady Capulet said “Of my dear kinsman! Prince, as thou art true, For blood of ours shed blood of Montague” (III.i 111-112). Lady Capulet is specifically asking the prince to kill one of the Montagues.…

Swords swinging, finding their way into the flesh of the Montague and Capulet bodies ending their hateful lives. The long tragedy of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet holds many deaths in its poetic lines; however, only one person can be blamed for the spirits that had been stripped from their bodies. The two once great families tear each other apart in order to follow a childish need to be better than the other. Though the families are the ones who kill one another the person at fault isn’t part of either family, but of the church. Friar Laurence is the villain of the play ending the lives of so many, without ever knowing he would do it.…

At last, the animosity between the Montagues and the Capulets has seen its end. Although Romeo of the Montagues and Juliet of the Capulets have had unfortunate deaths, the disaster has brought some good. This lead to Montague and Capulet admitting their mistakes and offering each other friendship to replace the loathing they had for each other. Montague has raised a statue in memory of Juliet, while Capulet has done the same for Romeo. This can be seen as an act of friendship between Montague and Capulet and respect for the lovers. This end of resentment between the two families has galvanized contentment all throughout Verona and the neighboring areas. These deaths that occur appear in, and greatly impact, both the Montague and Capulet families. When Romeo first appears at the Capulet party, Tybalt instantaneously notices him, and becomes quite angry. Tybalt runs to Lord Capulet, to see he can be granted to permission to remove of Romeo. Lord Capulet responds surprisingly well to the news of Romeo arriving at the party. “Content thee gentle coz. Let him alone.” States Capulet in act 1 scene 5. However, Tybalt has a different opinion on what should happen to Romeo. Because of Tybalt’s differing opinion, he later, in act 3 scene 1, finds Romeo and proceeds to throw insults around. Mercutio, Romeo’s best friend, becomes angry at Tybalt for insulting his best friend, and decides to fight with Tybalt. Romeo disagrees with this decision and tries to break up the fight. Mercutio ends up being stabbed by Tybalt, and then out of anger Romeo kills Tybalt. Because all of these characters had differing opinions, lives were lost, leaving long lasting effects on both…

I am Tybalt, a Capulet and cousin of Juliet. I am known as short-tempered, impulsive, and a vengeful person, I draw my sword anytime I can. However I am loyal beyond words and honour the family rivalry between the Capulets and the Montagues with great heart. I will never betray the Capulets. On the day of Capulets’ party Romeo showed up. I recognised Romeo through his disguise at the Capulets’ ball. I can’t remember that we invited him to our party. Why is Romeo here? What is his intention of showing up at my Uncle Capulet’s ball? He is a Montague and I loathe all the Montague because they are our enemy. He is not allowed to come to our party. I would have killed him or make him leave the ball immediately if not forbidden by my uncle. He stopped me because he didn’t want to make a scene at the party. I could have choose to disobey my uncle but if I do that he will be mad at me so I have no choice but listened to my uncle. However I won’t let him live so easily I will make his life miserable. I will take revenge on him next time I meet him. Therefore I have a plan, I will fight Romeo at the city centre but I will be banished if I start a fight with him. In that case I will provoke Romeo at the city centre of Verona so he will start a fight with me. When the prince found out that Romeo starts a fight with me he will banish Romeo from Verona forever instead of me. I sent a challenge letter to Romeo for a duel to the death and vowed to meet him later on. I didn’t know if Romeo will show up but I went off to look for him after the masked ball. Instead of finding Romeo I found his friends, Benvolio and Mercutio. After Romeo arrived, I confronted him to fight with me, but he refused. But his friend Mercutio winded me up after that so I started a fight with him. Romeo tries to stop us, but I stab Mercutio. I ran away after I stabbed Mercutio but I still have my sight set on killing…

Readers see Tybalt as a pugnacious person and Benvolio as a person who makes peace, just like the same sides of a magnet these two characters do not like each other. Benvolio values peace and always tries to avoid fighting. An example is the Market scene when the servants from both house where fighting Benvolio says "I do but keep the peace: put up thy sword, or manage it to part these men with me” (Romeo and Juliet 1.1 58-59). It is clearly visible that Benvolio is a peace maker. In contrast, Tybalt is portrayed as a hotheaded and pugnacious person who cannot resist the urge to fight. An instance is when Tybalt says in “and talk of peace! I hate the word as I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee" (Romeo and Juliet 1.1 68-70). This was said after Benvolio tried to invite peace amongst the families’ servants who started the fray but Tybalt refuses to help. Instead, he tries to fight Benvolio. These two examples show that one person (Benvolio) values peace and the other values war and hatred; in other words, with their various values aggression and peacemaking comes respect from their community.…

Tybalt, who is a Capulet, is a prime example of taking family loyalty to great excess. His loyalty and anger towards the Montague’s caused his death, which was only brought by his excessive loyalty to his Capulet family. When Tybalt spotted Romeo and his Montague Friends crashing the Capulet party, it was only the start of showing his anger for the Montagues. “What, drawn, and talk of peace! I hate the word, as I hate hell, all Montagues and thee”(ActI, Scene1,). This anger is only because he is a Capulet and they are Montague’s and to Tybalt Montagues are thought as villains. In Act 3 Tybalt intends to start a brawl and calls Romeo a villain. Romeo not willingly wanting to fight, his Montague friend Mercutio wants to. In result, Tybalt ends up killing Romeos friend. Tybalts extreme loyalty to his family caused his death because Romeo ends up killing him for causing the death of his friend.…

“Where be these enemies?/Capulet! Montague!/See, what a scourge is laid upon your hate,/That heaven finds means to kill your joys with love./And I for winking at your discords too/Have lost a brace of kinsmen: all are punish'd.”(V. 3. 291-296) . In this quote, the prince is berating himself for doing almost nothing about the feud. He exclaims that because of their hatred for each other, the heavens punished them by taking their children, Juliet and Romeo. Finally understanding the horrors the feud had created, Lord Capulet and Lord Montague make amends to each other by agreeing to end the feud and raising gold statues in honor of Romeo and Juliet‘s deaths.…
