A Diamond Personality
Many people often wonder how successful businesses remain a success in society and what encourages or motivates these individuals to establish extraordinary businesses. The case incident, “A Diamond Personality,” successfully discusses a gentlemen’s journey from a rags to riches on his success of a dream to have and be more in the market of jewelry. Oscar Rodriguez, a 38-year-old native of Puerto Rico, moved to Gainesville, Florida, with fewer abilities to speak English. While living in Florida, Rodriguez attended community college and worked in a local mall to support his self, although not aware his journey to success was starting to unfold (Robbins & Judge, 2009).

Successful Factors
Oscar Rodriguez’s factors of success were contributions from a roommate’s girlfriend encouraging him to work in a local jewel shop, and completing his Diamonds and Diamonds Grading certifications from the Gemological Institute of America. Factors as well as his nonstop determination to succeed without allowing negative aspects or failures to discourage his dreams were also contributing success techniques. Some people may believe that Rodriguez’s success was merely “the right place and the right time,” however, the characteristics about Rodriquez contributes to the success he has proven in Internet sells of loose diamonds as well as entrepreneurship.
