Dialectical Journal Chapter 14-15
Chapter 14-15: In the morning I hide behind a bush until I see Theo. I was hiding from Miss Sister I look out and see Miss Sister is nowhere in sight so I jump out of the bushes. I talk to Theo about all my troubles and problems.

Theo then says something about how dancers used to put feathers in their hair. I laugh at just the thought. No way in a million years will I even put a single feather in my hair! I tell him that feathers will not go in my hair no matter how hard my mom tries. I tighten my ponytail and push my bangs to the side of my face.

Theo then tells me that he will also be performing in the recital. He is playing the piano. I don’t really know why he is telling me because it won’t change the fact that I am not going to

It kind of makes me think of how my mom forbids sports. I guess me and Theo do have more in common than just baseball being a fan of the Braves. Theo then changes the subject and shows me a chest he found in the attic with a note beside it that says, Henry. I tell him to open it immediately. He takes a rock and smashes the lock then it breaks.

I can’t wait to open the chest and see what's inside, I have been starving for information!!
I open it and see a notebook with scribbles and names, a ticket, and a scoreboard with scores put in already. Not that much but at least we have a start! Theo then shows me his baseball card with Hank Aaron's signature. I take the card up and compare it to the notebook. I notice the H’s look the same but other than that nothing. I give him the card back and tell him to keep it safe.

I gather information from my father and Mr.D for the rest of the week I hope I have enough. Then I go play baseball against a shed by rest and easy as I wait for Theo. I notice him storming out of the Rest Easy. He tells me that my mom blamed stolen money on him. I tell him if did take it he should just return it and no harm will be

Throughout the film, Theo’s character shifts into the archetypal anti-hero because of Kee and her pregnancy. Without the level of compassion and responsibility Theo held towards Kee, he would have been more hesitant to follow through with helping. Theo’s compassion can be compared to a mother’s sense of care, seen through him risking his life to save her. Since Kee does not have any known family, Theo becomes one which creates a deeper bond between those two that would not have excited without the extenuating circumstances. Once on the boat, Theo reveals to Kee that he was injured while getting to the boat.…

Now think of your story and the details which wrap you up and wrecks your brains with thoughts as it robs you of your inner peace. In Claude McKay’s, “Old England” and “Quashie to Buccra” McKay uses dialect as a way to give poems multiple meanings. What may be seen as a simplistic or naïve poem about Jamaican life may actually be full of double meanings that only a select audience would be able to identify. In his poem’s, McKay ultimately gives Negros who work under white colonists the underlying message of black resistance by revolution.…

Act 4 Scene 5 uses the controversial debate of Ophelia’s innocence and her delusional grief about her dead father open to interpretation among various films. This scene asks directors to decide what theme the scene is more focused on, whether it be Ophelia’s relationship with Hamlet, or the death of her father Polonius. Both the Tennant film, and the 1996 Branagh film center this scene around Ophelia’s relationship with Hamlet and her crazed state of mind deriving from it. However, they show her emotions in different ways by using clothing, tone and pitch, camera angles, and added in extras apart from the original text. Essentially, both scenes point out the same ideas, but portray them in different ways using the original text as a concrete script but adding material elements to enhance their main focus.…

“Ok hold out both your hands towards me”, Tina said. I placed both hands out in front of her, the first thing she read was that she sees an operation, and that the line in my hand represents a past or future operation, that made me worried. Tina continued on telling me about my future, “I see you having two careers and being financially good”, Tina says, “It has something to do with music, although I can’t tell what your second career will be.” That was very interesting she knew that because I’ve been singing since I was young and music has always been a passion. Tina went on saying that she also sees a marriage and two kids, boy and girl, when Tina told me that I was happy. The room became silent for…

In William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, there are many problems with many characters. Gertrude, mother of the main character Hamlet, appears every so often and makes a certain decision that puts her to her death such as, being a good and bad mother, her sexuality going from one man to another, and being comparable to Ophelia of their affection towards Hamlet. Because Gertrude makes these failing decisions, she brings herself to her death.…

Have you ever wondered or thought about how the world could come to an end? Do you have a guess about when will the world end? There were rumors before that the world would end in 2012. They even made movies about it. I don’t know if the producers of the movie believed in the rumors or they just wanted to scare the people off. Whatever the reasons, those movies are failures at successful prediction. Kids in the future will just laugh on those movies. That’s if the world has not come to an end yet. Nobody really knows when the world will come to an end. It’s impossible to know. Scientists are also unsure on when the world will end, but they have a lot of theories on how the world could end. Corey S. Powell from 20 Ways the World Could End Swept Away said that the world could end because of natural disasters, human-triggered disasters, willful self-destruction, or a greater force that is against us. Let’s not forget about the other movies and TV series. There are movies about some unknown living-beings from other planets invading the Earth, robots and machines going rogue on their creators, and zombies coming out from nowhere to eat us alive. There isn’t any date on these movies and TV series so they’re not a failure, yet. It might sound ridiculous, but who knows? It might just happen in the near future. There are lots of theories on how the world could end, but for me, I think that the world could end because of an asteroid impact, a global war, or a zombie apocalypse.…

I mean sure I was about to puke the first time, but then I let loose and I was about to fall over and gosh was that fun. All my weight was on the seat belt and I imagined myself hanging from it if the seat belt opened….” she went on; her reply was definitely NOT what I was expecting.…

She smiles and says, “You only get married twice!” and I laugh along with her, because at least she is being helpful. Then she brings Mom another dozen dresses to try on, and Mom makes me come into her room with her to get her “out of this thing.” As I am unbuttoning the dress, it strikes me how frail Mom is. She isn’t frail like she’s too skinny. She’s frail in the way where she might be blown to the ground come a heavy wind. When Mom’s finally out of the dress, she tells me to put it on top of the “maybe” pile, but instead I hide it in the middle of the…
