Detroit Lions Research Paper
The professional football team from Detroit, Michigan, the Lions compete in the NFL as a member of the NFC North division. The team joined the NFL in 1930 and had won numerous titles since then, including four NFL Championships. They are also tied for 9th overall in total championships amongst all 32 NFL teams. The Lions play their home games at Fort Field in downtown Detroit.
The Detroit Lions originally hailed from Portsmouth, Ohio and was called the Portsmouth Spartans before formally joining the NFL in 1930. The team relocated to Detroit in 1934.
