Descriptive Essay: The Atmosphere Of The Florida Team
The atmosphere of the stadium was like nothing I’ve been a part of before. Half of the ballpark was in shock and the other half was in awe. The sense of excitement for the Florida team was overwhelming because this is the moment that I realized that all the hardwork that you do in the offseason and during the season, can actually pay off in the end. As I watched the dog pile on the pitcher's mound, I stood next to my brother and parents while wearing the bucket hat that I bought earlier that day. Everyone else is wearing the color of the team that they want to win. Baseball enthusiasts from all over the country were packed into the stadium like sardines in a can. LSU’s student section hanged their heads in disappointment while Florida’s student section was running into the field so that they could experience this special moment with the players. Florida won the college baseball World Series. …show more content…
The fireworks shook the stadium like an earthquake and lit up the night sky beautifully. The smell of hot dogs rushed into my nose while I watched a once in a lifetime experience for those baseball players. The music sounded like a whisper compared to the cheering coming from the Florida fans and the fireworks shooting off. The cool July night was surprisingly comfortable and not smothering us with a blanket of heat. A nice, crisp breeze ran through the Nebraska air which made the temperature

The Miami Marine Stadium (MMS) is a historical landmark home to Virginia Key, Miami, Florida. Built in 1963 and designed by Cuban-born architect, Hilario Candela, who was only 28 years old at the time. The Stadium is considered a Modernist icon due to its characteristic reinforced concrete structure. Named after the famous 1900’s yacht designer Ralph Munroe, the stadium can accommodate 6,566 spectators. Due to its photographic panoramic view and its location next to the water and across Downtown Miami, the stadium was host for many different world class powerboat events, hydroplane regattas, and major aquatic-stage concerts for artists such as Jimmy Buffet. Tragically, after Hurricane Andrew, in September 1992, the Miami Marine Stadium had to be shut down since it was deemed unsafe for the public. After being abandoned, the MMS became a graffiti…

When trying to build a strong organizational culture, planning and recruitment are two major aspects to building this culture successfully. Not only is this important to business organizations, but it is also important in collegiate sports. The Florida State Seminoles have had recent success in college basketball, and I decided to look into the profiles of some of the team’s top recruits under coach Hamilton. After closely studying the rosters of recent Florida State basketball teams, it is evident that Hamilton heavily recruits players at key positions who are great athletes and intense defenders.…

One beautiful sunny morning shattering into darkness? We didn’t have anytime. Going back home then coming back isn’t an option the game would be over. I just stared at the walls of Fenway Park and thought to myself maybe another day. So this was it, three-hundred dollars or more down the drain. I looked up and got lost in the beautiful twilight of the sky before coming back to reality and thinking how we would be able to still go to the game. Apparently my uncle was smarter than us because he was already walking in the other direction. I didn't have a clue where he was going. When we finally caught up to him he was standing in front of a booth called the “Will Call” booth.…

After we got to the city, we spended some time going around it and looking at some other things in the city. Next morning we got up, then got on the tram to the game, it was a 30 minute wait, but it was so worth it because I got to see the houses, how they build them there, the parks, this long and big river right beside the stadium. We finally got there, but we couldn’t go inside because the NFL is not letting people inside with normal bags, we hid the bag inside a bush then we got to go inside the stadium. They played the Jets and I got to see a lot the Steelers players like Antonio Brown, Big Ben. I got to eat a hot dog, popcorn, some other candies. But it was so good, but so much money to get food there. My seats were on the 50 yard line and the weather was sunny, but cool. But the most important time was spending time with…

Game Day had arrived for the two rival basketball teams; the Eagles and the Tigers. The loud and passionate fans had been waiting in line for hours out in the freezing cold weather. As the warm ups started the players were getting nervous. Both teams wanted the state championship very bad and they were just hours away from winning it. Months and months of strenuous conditioning and closely won ball games had all come down to this one game. The referee threw the perfectly round orange rubber ball in the air for the tip off and the game began. Both teams came out very aggressively. The encouraging cheers from the pumped up fans were really driving both teams to give it their all. The entertaining game was neck and neck the entire way through. Nobody could tell which team had the edge. It all came down to the final seconds of the game. The scoreboard showed that the Eagles were down 73 to 74. The star player took the ball inside against the biggest player on the Tigers. He was fouled hard and fell down onto the hardwood floor. The coaches and fans were infuriated that it was not called a technical foul. The star player was at the black painted free throw line with the potential to win the game. He shot the ball and made the first free throw just like he had done many times before. The time came for the second free throw and there was a huge silence in the nervous crowd. He shot the ball and it was in the air for what seemed like a lifetime. It rattled around the orange rim and then went through the white roped net. The Eagles had won the state…

Introduction Athletic participation either at the organized level or for recreation has become part of our social fabric in society (Proios, 2013). Sports involves a multitude of individuals from players, referees, fans, workers, coaches, staff, volunteers and various others involved in the organization and implementing of games and tournaments. The evidence that sport is part of our everyday life can be seen through media and social outlets, playgrounds, recreational facilities, retail athletic stores, state, local and state park recreational facilities, and dedicated sport channels that are available twenty four hours a day (Proios, 2013). How a person or persons acts when involved in athletic and sport participation, can be a greater…

The Florida Panther (Puma concolor coryi) was placed on the endangered species list in 1973, and there are less than one hundred of the Florida Panthers still alive. I chose this bigger cat because they beautiful felines that may be close to extinction. In writing about this animal, I hope to bring attention to the fact that they are often killed by cars, people shoot them because they eat the animals on their property, and they also can die from genetic problems from mating with other cat species.…

The adrenaline pumped through my veins. My heart was beating so loud and fast. There was the ball, held in the referee's hands, about to be thrown up into the air. The thrill of the ball rolling off my fingers, my cleats digging in the ground, and the next sound I heard was, “Strike 3, you’re out!” As I walked back to the dugout, and my teammates high-fiving each other, our coach, said we needed to score 2 more runs to win the game, 10 minutes later, we were celebrating, that we won the last game of the season.…
