Descriptive Essay: A Trip To Coney Beach
When one thinks of summer, it immediately comes to mind the sight of sandy beaches, amusement parks and hot sunny days. Coney Island, an extravagant vacation playground to visit especially for the summer. I have recently had an opportunity to come to such a wonderful place that the sights are still engraved in my mind. There were other attractions that I have missed out on mainly since I had only one day there. If time was not an issue, I would have definitely visited more programs that they provide. Getting there is also not a problem due to their cheap and handy subway system. One thing to be cautioned about is that it can get extremely busy on the weekends, so the best time to be there would be on the weekdays, especially if you do not want …show more content…
The first few steps after the boardwalk may feel rather rocky due to scattered sediments and tiny pebbles sticking on to the soles of your feet, but by halfway to the ocean, it starts getting smooth and cooler with every step you take. If laying around and catching some ray is not your type of fun, there are beach volleyball courts set up, kites to be flown here and safe swimming with lifeguards on the look out. Gazing at the sandy shore, you can see the roaring waves rushing in, toppling forts and castles made out of silken sands that shimmers under the blazing sun like tiny luminous stars in the night sky. Take advantage of this peaceful, quiet moment by standing on the shoreline and wait for the rolling ocean water slide by the ankles of your leg. As the waves try to pull back in, you will feel a sinking sensation on the heels of your foot due to the pressure of your weight and the surrounding sand. Lastly, there is an area for youths with a big, plastic palm tree set up in the middle and tiny sprinklers around it, spraying cold, chilling drops that can be felt even to the people strolling on the boardwalk. The beach is always crowded with families and couples to enjoy on their days off and especially on Friday nights, gorgeous firework shoot off can be seen starting at 9:30p.m. (Only during the summer …show more content…
The three feature listed above are what makes Coney Island well-known and can be enjoyed by anyone of all ages and race. Definitely try on at least one of their extreme rides when visiting Luna Park. On the boardwalk, expand your horizon by eating at their popular eateries and trying out the different dishes that is served only at Coney Island. As for the beach, sure, there are other beaches similar from around the world, but do not miss out on how this beach is connected with two other attractions unlike other beaches which gives this an A-plus. So if you ever need a place for the upcoming summer or spring break, be sure to visit Coney

Rock Point camp is a beautiful place. A white shelled yellow sandy beach, taking up most of the camp. This beach has sparkling dark blue water, swaying back and forth with force carrying dark green soft seaweed with it. There is a fossil area on the corner of the beach, and massive flat rocks with animals engraved into its grayness, you will see scaly orange fish with only sockets and no eyes laying on these rocks with fly’s hovering over them in circles, as if they are guarding the dead corpses of the fish. Once you get off the beach you will see a large green forest filled with muddy trails going in many directions. This forest has a lot of green trees of all kinds, and lots of insects, the mosquito’s are as thirsty as vampires as they…

Depending on what time one woke up the following morning, when you walked outside you would get a whiff of the Sandbar’s burgers on the charcoal grill that would instantly capture your stomach’s attention. If that did not draw you near to the shack-like bar, the Beach Boys music that was blasting loud would. Since we normally go in the summer, I am used to watching the PGA Masters event on the Sandbar’s Sony 72” flat screen. Below the Sandbar’s deck are a flight of stairs. The bottom 3 steps are covered in sand that has a consistency similar to that of flour. As you step onto the sand for the first time of the day, you would find it hot from hours of exposure to the morning sun. The sand would be rather tossed at the step-in spot from where earlier beach patrons had previously stepped and are now walking around in front of you either…

Myrtle Beach Have you ever wanted something so bad that once you have it you kind of sit back and reevaluate everything that just happened and you just need a small breather to take everything in? There’s just something about nature that takes my breath away and takes me to a different dimension. It makes feel so calm and so at ease with myself. It makes me feel joy just looking at the small things in life. It makes me appreciate the smallest things, such as a beautiful sunflower growing in my backyard, and just sitting on my royal blue towel with flowers, that would remind you of Hawaii, on the sandy beach with my feet stretched out in front me staring into the ocean ,while squinting my eyes due to the powerful sun rays, takes my breath away everytime I look back into the moment I went to Myrtle Beach.…

As time and different ethnic groups pass by, America is transforming and shaping their definition of American culture.
