Descriptive Essay: A Day At Chesapeake Bay

It was time to unload our beach supplies. Spending a day at Chesapeake Bay always included our large blue cooler packed with plain turkey sandwiches and ice cold water bottles. My siblings and I had the responsibility to carry our beach tools, such as our yellow sand sifter, sand castle molds, and other various beach toys, to the sandy destination. The walk to the beach from the parking lot was down a skinny dirt pathway through a forest of trees. As we neared the water, the packed down dirt gradually turned to soft white sand. The sound of small waves caressing the shore became audible. The beach’s ambience was relaxing yet hectic. Parents were lying on their large beach towels, soaking in the sun such as a sponge would absorb water.
