Description Paper rough draft

As I sit here and observe my object I first notice it’s color; dark navy blue. It’s clear and you can see right through to the inside. It’s dark navy blue color hides the color of the liquid inside. The top is grey like a gloomy day in the rain. I then notice he shape is a cylinder with both ends closed. One end you can open and the other just stays closed. I notice the size of it is medium and it looks very smooth and round. Then I use my sense of touch and grab my object that I use every day. As I pick it up its light weight. It feels smooth and fits right around the palm to my fingers of my hand. My water bottle is like a river. It shares the same crystal blue color of the river. It carries a lot of water that is re used every day. New water or liquid can be added. It makes a swishing noise, It makes ripples as there is movement. It could be hot or cold. My water bottle is also much like a hole. It has supportive sides. It is very deep and can be filled. The hole and my water bottle could be either empty or full. The hole is usually open at the top but also can be closed like my water bottle. My water bottle is a very valuable object that can be used for many things. As I set my water bottle down I notice that there is a lot a straw on the inside to drink the water and a clear top to go with it. I also notice some writing on it that must be the company who made it. There is a also a handle that you can hold it or clip it on to something. I also notice that if the light is hitting it right I can see my reflection in the side of my water bottle. I notice the liquid on the inside is usually clear and is always at a steady level and looks solid until you shake it up or move it. But once you set it back down it levels back down to the same place. My water bottle is like the gym. I use it every day, and it’s a health benefit. I use it to hydrate myself during a workout. It is the same color of the gym’s floors it has shape the

What’s better to chill out a hot summer’s day than something sweet and cool? No, I am not talking about a Popsicle. I am not talking about an ice cream cone, either. I am not even talking about iced tea or lemonade. It is something better than all of those, and it doesn’t even have all the sneaky calories of those other tasty treats! The answer to the question is simple. Have you guessed it? It is a cherry.…

It is a very delicate issue to talk about physician-assisted suicide. There are two authors that have very interesting things to say about this topic: Ernest Van den Haag with his essay “Make Mine Hemlock”, and Rand Richards Cooper who wrote “The Dignity of Helplessness: What Sort of Society Would Euthanasia Create?” They have very interesting, and valid reasons to believe that their point of view should prevail when deciding if physician- assisted suicide should be or not legalized. They have very different opinions in many issues like the slippery slope argument. They disagree when they talk about safeguards as a guarantee of a legal decision, and they do not agree in the point that it is an individual right for people to choose if they want to live or die.…

I was exposed to Crossfit while I was stationed at Ramstein AB, Germany. Most people take a look at a posted workout or video, of elite Crossfit athletes and get intimidated or scared. They shouldn’t! The workouts that get posted to these sites are made for the more advanced, elite athletes. Crossfit is a new idea and like all new things, you either love it or you hate it. However, Crossfit brings something new to the table which is why many believe it is the better way of life and physical fitness. First, we will look at who started Crossfit and what it means. Then I will describe what the community is and lastly we will talk about competitions.…

In order to win in this competition, the most creative and practical invention must be created. I was also interested in this competition and decided to participate. For days, I brainstormed what invention I should create, but I couldn’t think of anything. Every idea I had seemed useless and childish. Then one day, a week before the competition, I had to bring watercolor paint to school. But when I opened it, it was hard as a rock that blocked me from using it. This experience gave me a brilliant invention. As paints dry so quickly, we have to buy new paints all the time. To decrease this cumbersome activity, I attached a little plastic spuit on the cap so that water can be dropped into the tube regularly before using it. I presented this invention in the competition, and I was presented with first place and competed in regional competition. This experience reassured me that I was creative and to think more about realistic…

People are always looking forward to their vacation stage. There are numerous options that a person can choose to visit. I assume that the two majority common places people desire for taking a vacation are the beaches and the mountains. Both places offer a variety of amusing activities to do. The beach offers activities that the mountain cannot offer and vice versa. The mountain and the beach are totally different in some kind of way. Finally, it’s done. I have created not only the most powerful concoction known to man but the biggest breakthrough in Science history. I carried my prized artefact filled with a green gooey liquid outside of the laboratory and walked slowly to the storage room. The storage room is the one place in this 25-floor laboratory, where the temperature is a chilling -87 degrees Celsius. I pulled on my lab coat and I was going in. Despite the temperature in here, I was mildly warm due to my lab coat. I walked in and something astonished me. I thought I saw an eye of something or someone at the back…

As I stood, staring bleakly at the dilapidated house. Chills ran down my spine. I forgot my jacket, I thought to myself. The twojackets, three pairs of pants, 4 pairs of fuzzy socks, and boots could not keep me warm against the deathly cold. The walkway up to house were cracked. Weeds emerged out from these cracks. Briars were growing wildly in thick batches by the gate. The moonlight cast a scary glow on the house. Twisted vines ran up the side of house, reaching towards the roof. The house's walls were rotting because of neglect. Splotches of original paint gave me flash backs to how this house used to be, even though I've never been here before. Cobwebs covered the corners of the doors, tiny black spiders threading towards their prey. The house is fit for the Kings and Queens of the supernatural.…

It was the beginning of July in Iowa where the weather is sweltering hot and the air is damp and steamy from the humidity. It was time to wake up the heavy-eyed children and head out on our adventure for our lengthy drive to our first much anticipated retreat to the searing hot Wisconsin Dells. Carefully, we checked over our extensive scribbled on vacation list to make sure we have not forgotten anything and crossed off as my husband loaded up our Chevy duromax diesel truck that was a struggle to get into as it was lifted up high with big over-sized tires. Being seven months pregnant with swollen feet and ankles that looked like my skin was going to tear open just by touching it and having a sizable stomach and aching back and hips from the extra weight; it was not an ideal time to be going on vacation during the midst of blistering muggy summer.…
