Have you ever wondered how the southeast and southwest regions are alike and different? Well, if you do here we go! Both regions are located in North America. I love the southeast region because it is mild and humid. Most of the time, it is subtropical. Subtropical means relating to or bring the regions bordering on the tropical zone. The southwest is very cold region in the winter. It also can get very warm in the summer to. The southwest region has many mountains and other landforms such as plains, mesas, plateaus, deserts, and canyons. Plains are grassy patches just like the ones in the southeast region. You mainly find tobacco in Tennessee and Kentucky. It can also be found in places like Louisiana and Mississippi. Other natural resources are cotton, pine trees, coal, and peanuts. The southwest region has a lot of natural rescores too and they are grapefruit, wheat, hay, lemons, and cactuses. As you can see, the southwest is a lot different from the southeast region. Both the southeast and southwest have many landmarks. The Mammoth Cave system is in the southeast and is the longest cave system in the world. There are some other landmarks like the Florida everglades! The Florida everglades contain habitats for animals like a crocodile and Florida panther.
