Summary 1 : Putting it All Together pg 306 - 307 1. What would a Parent do? A/ Obviously there will be cultural differences between parents and children however, based on personal experience having teenage children I believe that speaking to your children about peer pressures and social groups are a key. I would encourage my children to never lose sight of who they are and most importantly to keep in mind that not all social groups are compatible with their personalities. 2. What would a Health Care Provider do? A/ Although every child matures and changes throughout puberty. I would speak to Andi about her self esteem. She needs to be confident of who she is and how she has developed. I would encourage exercising as a form to not only keep her busy but it would also help in her obsession of the way she looks. 3. What would an Educator do? A/ As an educator I would encourage her passion for photography. I would make suggestions on how to further her hobby and explore possibilities into a career path. Photojournalism is something that she can focus her energy on and when the passion for something is there it helps her mold into a responsible, mature young lady. 4. What would you do? A/ As Andi’s friend I would support and encourage her decisions. I would offer help in any way I possibly could and strive to make her decisions worthwhile.
