Purpose: The purpose of this lab was to help students analyze and determine the density of various objects. Also, this lab helped students to become more confortable with the use of the different instruments to determine the densities.
There were a few major sources of error. One source of error is the inaccuracy of a human. The calculations provided by a person, may not have been exactly accurate. Another source of error was that the objects given to us may have not been exactly in the best shape. Since other classmates used these objects various times, things, such as a minor crack in the glass, or a dent in the cube could have varied the calculations. Both of these errors may have affected the densities. 2)
The Unknown liquid 11 had the density of .750 grams/cm cubed. The closest liquid to the unknown liquid 11 is Ethanol because it has the density of .789g/cm cubed.

Also, this lab helped students to become more confortable with the use of the different instruments to determine the densities. According to the data chart, solids being irregular and regular contain similar densities. Also the liquids have similar densities. The lab also showed the similarities between the density of a solid and the density of a liquid. The densities of the solids were greater then the densities of the liquid. Lastly, due to the higher density, the solids also had a greater percent error.
