Some say she is only remembered by her sex appeal and drug habits but it is so much more than that to me. I personally look past the sex and drugs and look at how she is so comfortable in her own skin and that just because she has some curves that it doesn’t make her “ugly” or “fat” it just makes her a little more meaty than most models are. She doesn’t cover herself up more because she is bigger she embraces it in a way to show other women that it is okay to be more the 100 pounds and that you can still be beautiful even if you’re “overweight.” And she never let the people who didn’t agree with her decisions and opinions change her and I think that is a big problem in our world…

She’s inspired me to be a hardworking individual with big goals for myself, one of my largest goals that I’ve achieved was climbing Mt. Sirachi in Haeyoiku. I prepared for this moment every day for hours for a year and a half, I’d wake up at 6 a.m. to run with my oxygen limiting mask and run from my house to the courthouse and back. On the day of my trip I felt overly prepared and didn’t experience any unforeseen circumstances due to my emphasized training. At one point I even had to double back for someone because someone had forgotten their pack down at the start line of the hike. I’d never worked so hard in my life to achieve anything as monumental as the climb to the top, but I was proud of myself and the knowledge that Nicki would be proud as well motivated me more than…

Selena had been faced with so many hardships in her life and she is such a great example of someone who just worked hard and overcame her troubles and proved the world that she could achieve greatness if she wanted to. I think that is a message that many people need in their everyday lives, even if they live a simple life. Every single person comes across hard times in their lives and they need to be able to look up to someone who had been through that and say, if they did that then I can do this. I think due to the diversity of Selena’s problems throughout her entire life everyone could relate to her in some way. Selena went through rough times with her family due to her father being her manager, she faced problems with sexual discrimination, as well as with the hardships of conflict with family friends, all of these things that everyday people can relate to. Selena is also the perfect example of a strong woman and a successful woman as well. Even today it can be hard for women to be treated equally, such as the work force, so to see her achieve such greatness, especially in a genre that was dominated by men, it just feeds inspiration for women and proves that women can do anything. I think the way Selena was taken from this world was very tragic and awful; she was such an icon for so many people…

Approaching this from a cognitive perspective, I believe that the wreckless and attention seeking behavior that Lindsay Lohan outputs is a direct result from her parent's divorce and stress induced from her sky-rocketing childhood fame. In Lindsay Lohan's hit song "Confessions of a broken heart", she emotionally expresses her relationship with her father. In her lyrics she says, "And I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders, a family in crisis that only grows older, why'd you have to go... I dream of another you one who would never leave me alone to pick up the pieces, a…
