Definition Of Freedom
I think that freedom is given but if you do something bad like take something from a store that you didn't buy then you get your right from going in that store again taken away. Because they allowed you into there store and you went behind their back and took something without paying for it. Another example for earning your freedom then is if you get into a fight at school you would get into big trouble like getting suspended and in some extreme cases you can get expelled, kicked out of school.

Some reasons why you might have to earn your freedom at home is, if you stay out past your curfew your parents can make your curfew earlier than what it was before. If you disobey your parents rules they can take your privileges away. For example if

If you don't do your job right you can get your job taken away from you. You have to prove that they can count on you and trust you to be honest at your job. If you ruin those then they can take your right away from you and tell you that you are fired. Even if you only did one thing wrong on the job you still messed up so then you get those rights taken away from working there because most places won't hire you again.

There are many ways you have to earn or win your freedom. It just depends on where you're at or if you get in trouble then you have to work for your freedom. If you work for your freedom then you might have to do something to help your community or help the people around you. Say that the first time you got in trouble they let you slide with just a warning but if your do it again then you're going to loose some of your rights that follow along with freedom.

Someone can give you freedom by letting you go places, you can lose that freedom by lying saying that you're going somewhere else but you really didn't go there. You can also lose someone's trust and that also might take away a freedom that you feel like you'll have to earn it

Freedom is not something that anybody can be given; Freedom is something that people take and people are as free as they want to be. Benjamin Franklin, one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, states, "Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." Basically, Franklin is saying that in any circumstances mankind should not forget about the most important thing in the world - freedom. Freedom is when people have the opportunity to pursue happiness without any barriers. Freedom "gives" happiness because the state of being free is aligned with our true nature. The more you are aligned with your true nature, the more you are well. To simplify this, I would say if we have freedom - we have happiness; if we lose freedom we lose happiness as well. I believe people are only able to value it, as far as they can acknowledge how much it's important to them. I really love and appreciate the opportunity to be happy, that’s why I totally agree with Benjamin…
