What does home mean to me? It means safety, hope, love, and happiness. These four things make up my home. People say that home is where your heart is, that is true but there is more to it than that. Home is where I grew up, laughed, cried, and screamed. It’s where I became stronger, smarter, and wise. Home is what defines me; home is what makes me who I really am. Home is my future, my past, and my present.
My home is much more than a roof on top of my head. It’s my surroundings. It’s the feeling you get when people love you, when they believe in you, and when they wait for you. Home is where you feel safe and happy. It’s where you share your feelings and you’re not afraid to cry. My home isn’t just my house and family, it’s the ocean, my friends, my job, and the people in my community. My job is my home, the people I work with are my family. They support me in everything I do. They’re there for me in my time of need and happiness.
