Definition Essay: The Influence Of Trust
Trust is something that you can earn in life. You have to learn to trust yourself then you can gain trust from others. If you want someone to be able to trust in you have to be honest, loyal, and etc. Sometimes when you are going to say something, you have to stop and think. Ask yourself if you are making the right decision and being trustworthy and not lying. You also have to communicate and try to keep building trust between each other little by little.

Trust means “Assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone to something and one in which confidence is placed”- Merriam Webster. Sometimes people are selfish they only think about themselves and want everything to themselves without sharing. They might not notice and the ability of others is to not trust them again. When people are like that they think badly about others. This is what happens to trust when people are selfish.

If you don’t trust yourself then I think that you can’t be trusted. If you keep lying to yourself you can make yourself believe that somethings are actually true. The word trust in the dictionary is defined as being “a) firm belief in the honesty, reliability, etc. of another; faith” I agree 100%; however, in my experience, it can be quite difficult to hold onto. Just when you think you have it, it slips right through your fingers. Trust can be like a blanket fresh from the dryer; warm and cozy, or it can be frigid and harsh; like a blizzard in the dead of winter. In some instances, it may not exist at all.…

It is a special thing to be trusted by someone. To be told you are trusted is an even greater feeling, but you should never take advantage of that trust. Taking advantage of somebody's trust in you is never a good thing and will only lead to distrust. If somebody took advantage of my trust, I would be very skeptical of them the next time they needed me to do something for them or asked something of me. Trust should be valued highly and seen as a true bond between two friends or mates. It should be thought of as the glue in the relationship.…
