What is a hero? In the dictionary, it is defined a hero as a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. However, for me, heroes are not those who have special abilities like flying through the sky, shooting lasers out of their eyes, or controlling other people’s minds, but just normal people who solve problems and save the people from the risk in today’s society. Actually, in our society, a hero is a normal person as average as friends, family or strangers that see a problem and take it upon themselves to fix it. Unlike the heroes appearing in films and novels who have special abilities, the past heroes sacrifice themselves and go through many problems and difficulties to rescue people in risk. In the case of Korea, during the Japanese occupation period, which caused many sad events for Korean, there were many heroes to strive for the independence of my country.
