Abstract
The process of making a tough decision is not easy. There are steps to be taken in order to make an informed decision. This paper will cover those particular steps and also compare them to the steps that were used in a tough decision of my own. In the end, this paper will answer “How to make an informed decision?”

Decision Making Process Paper
The decision topic covered here will be “Buying a car”. There are many things to think about when doing this. There are also many steps that need to be taken in order to come to a strong conclusion. In our readings the book covers a six step model to use in the decision making process. The six steps are: identify and diagnose the problem, generate alternative solutions, evaluate alternatives, make the choice, implement the decision and evaluate the decision (McGraw & Hill, p. 7, 2011). Those six steps will help to answer the question of “How to make an informed decision?”

The first step in the model calls for identifying the problem, which means looking at your particular situation and seeing what a solution would be. The second step asks to generate solutions, meaning to gather information as to what solutions out there could solve your problem based on past experiences (McGraw & Hill, p. 8, 2011). The third step has the person evaluate alternatives so a person would look at each alternative and see which one would be best for a solution. The fourth step would be to make a choice, where the person would evaluate the possible outcomes from each alternative and choose the best fit for their particular situation (McGraw & Hill, p. 10, 2011). The fifth step is implementing the decision where the person would carry out the implementation of whatever they had decided. The final step is evaluating the decision where the person looks back at their decision to see...
