Who else ever wants to just pack a bag and just start walking? Not knowing where you're going, just going. Without a single care in the world. I don't know how many times I have just wanted to just say "screw it, screw everyone, and screw everything." People in life tend to fail me. I gave him everything, my love, my time, my trust, and my loyalty. I strived to be perfect for him. I lost relationships with family and friends to keep the relationship I had with him strong. I even lost a little bit of myself in the process. That's where I messed up. I gave him my all without giving myself my all. He was beyond my everything. We fell for each other, it was the exact definition of "young love". I wouldn't call it "love at first sight". It was attraction at first glance. We met, we kissed, we fell in love. I still cannot seem to wrap my mind around how fast we fell what I'd call in love. Neither of us understood it, but we understood one thing. We had to be together and nobody could stop us. We were over four hundred miles apart, but close in our hearts. We went from Skype dates to destruction in two-point-five seconds. He will forever be the reason I do not understand people. They say the first few months of relationships are the "honeymoon phase", everything is great. They try to become the person they wish they were. And when that phase is over they show their true colors, but I swear to this day what we had was real. I say this a year and many months later, many relationships later. If he told me right now to drop everything and be with him this very second, I'd be the victim yet again of this tragedy people call love.
I still hold much anger towards him, I couldn't have possibly been better to him. I wasn't perfect, nor was he. Our imperfections fit together in an almost perfect way. In some hope I feel like this now still is not the end of our relationship. We connected like two worn puzzle pieces. Not perfectly, rough edges and torn corners. But

When I heard him shout at me about regretting our marriage, all I could think about was the night of our wedding. The past should stay in the past, no matter how much you think you miss it. The past – while there were good times – is a place I never wanted to revisit ever again. It was an intense love affair, filled with passion and bursting with emotion, although, that was only on my part. If I’m honest, I don’t think he cared much about me. It took me a while to realize this, but when I did, it took a lot of courage to leave him.…

Breakups suck. I've come to realize that what I have been going through is very normal. Just seeing what my friends have been going through has made me see that it is normal to have a person you can never get completely over. No matter how hard you try to move on from this one person there will always be something there. It is not obsessive or overly attached. You come across someone who throws you off your original course completely out of nowhere and you will never be able to get back on that original course. That person changed everything. I fell in love with an amazing girl. Granted I’m only 18 years old and most people doubted the maturity and promise behind my so called “love”. People told me that my youthfulness and raging hormones must have been confusing lust for love, that it’s natural at such a young age to mistaken the two. I’m sorry, but I had to disagree. Was it lust that put a smile on my face whenever she entered a room? Was it lust when the mere thought of her brought about feelings in me that I can best describe as euphoric? I may be a teenager, but those feelings have nothing to do with “getting in her pants” or “becoming a man”. Even if what I do feel is immature in the eyes of another, it is the realest thing that has ever happened to me in my life to this point and is the only thing worth writing. I fell in love with a girl who became my everything…I fell in love with a girl who didn’t feel the same way about me.…

The summer before he left for college was very difficult. I was getting scared of him leaving me so I got a little too clingy. We also started getting into trouble on more than one occasion. He liked to drink and smoke a little too much and I would get so angry when he would yell at me for asking him to settle down. He would say I wasn’t his mom. He was right but I did care about him just as much as she did. He started going places without me and our communication got more and more limited. When he finally left for college is when everything fell apart.…
