A punishment is used in order to make sure that a person doesn’t repeat his mistake or learns from it and it should induce fear in him, rather than enjoying it. A punishment is given when a person commits a mistake or goes against a rule, which shouldn’t be violated. Sentence to death is the highest ranked punishment given by the government to the criminals for their heinous crimes. It is true that capital punishment will deprive the criminal’s life and his chances, but it is sure to gain social stability and will be an effective way of deterrent of crimes. First, death sentence will reduce government's financial expenditure. Every year, the government spends huge amount of money to sustain the prisoners alive in the prison. For those criminals who are sentenced to life imprisonment will stay in the prison for their whole life because of their serious crimes, the government should hold them for the rest of their lives. Should the Death Penalty be Abolished?
The death penalty is often cited, as its placement in Taking Sides implies, to be one of the nation痴 most controversial issues. The long history of capital punishment, the volumes of academic work, and the seeming endless supply of individuals willing to debate for and against it seems to confirm such a proposition. Many seem to believe that a change of just one or two individuals on the Supreme Court….

But as human beings we also have a barbarian instinct that wants revenge when someone has hurt us deeply. Generally people who have suffered a tragedy, in which a loved one has been taken from them, would tend to….
Whether the death penalty should be legal in the United States or not is a major controversy. People have gone back and forth weighing the pros and cons to each side. One of the questions many people ask is, “Why do we kill people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong?” (Drehle, 2015, pg. 6). The death penalty should be illegal because life in prison is a worse punishment and easier on families, it uses up more time and money, people are wrongfully accused sometimes, and lethal….
