Death penalty's

In my opinion Death penalty’s should be illegal because it is a possibility that people are sentenced to death when not guilty. People that have committed murder often means there is something wrong in their head and deserve to suffer in jail instead of being killed or in some peoples minds they deserve a second chance. Did you know that innocent people get put on death row and get executed once in a while?well for example according to the death penalty information center(DPIC), tyrone Noling was on death row since 1996 and there was no physical evidence at all, Recent DNA tests have proven his innocence. This is not the only reason why death penalties should be illegal,being a murderer means that there is something that went wrong in your mind and people deserves a second chance.as stated by the iowa State Supreme Court justice"Crime indicates a diseased mind in the same manner that sickness and pain do a diseased body. And as in the one case we provide hospitals for the treatment of severe and contagious diseases, so in the other, prisons and asylums should be provided for similar reasons." also as very bluntly stated by desmond tutu,"To take a life when a life has been lost is revenge, not justice." other people say that criminals deserve to suffer than to be put out of their misery as stated by reginald wilkinson a previous prison director in ohio Although it is true that they don’t deserve to live, it is better that they live, and suffer, than them die and not feel a thing.although a lot of people say that the death penalty should be illegal, There are always opposers of this idea. These people say that The death penalty is not cruel. It is only used for the most serious crimes, If someone kills 100 people they should get the death penalty. The death penalty scares criminals so we have less crimes.
