Davy Crockett was a politician,woodsman,and a frontiersman.He was a three time congressman.He was in the militia twice.He was on his own for two years at the age of 13.And an all around folk legend.

Davy Crockett had a rough time being a kid.He was born on August 17, 1786.He was the fifth of nine children born.When he was just 8 years old his father taught him how to use a rifle.He used to go on hunting trips with his older brothers.His father enrolled him in school at the age of 13.Just after attending a few days at school he fought the class bull.Afraid of punishment and revenge he decided to run away.He spent two years wandering and honing his woodsman skills.Just before Crockett turned 16 he went back home and
