David's Views On Social Class Differences

Social class means grouping people according to their merit, educational back ground, economic status, family they grew up and so on. Human beings have different ideology about many things based on the social class where they are grouped. My uncle, David, 56, is grouping in lower class society. When I compare his attitude with middle and higher class people based on the importance of education, child rearing, and healthy diet, he is totally different. He follows very traditional life. For one thing, he believes that education isn’t important than working hard and making a money. According to his belief going to school to get education has different disadvantages. For instance, he thinks going to school is a waste of time and money. David says that, “Instead of buying books, pens, and laptops for educational purpose, it is important to buy a car and paid off it”. Also, he thinks education has a lot of worries and stress. He says he doesn’t want to do a lot of home works, class works, and assignments, and he believes it is stressful to study day and night to take quizzes and exams. Because of his lower class attitude, he really doesn’t know how to manage his kids. Instead of advising and counseling he dared to use physical and verbal punishments. He never realizes how to teach and guide his children positively. Furthermore, he discourages his kids asking questions. Specially, he is angry if he sees them ask questions elderly people. He considers that asking questions elderly people is disrespectful manner. Totally, his arrogance and pompous manner make him to be dictator for his family.
