David Kolb proposed his famous experiential learning cycle in 1984, to help individuals understand how adults learn through the process of their cognitive abilities. He suggested that during adolescences and early childhood individuals begin to choose the way they like to process information and use it to make sense of their experience.
He’s cycle consist of four basic stages which an individual goes through.
The first stage is the concrete experience this is when a new experience or situation is carried out.
The second stage is the reflective Observation this when an individual reviews what they did wrong or right.
The third stage consists of recognising what the person did wrong or right and make an understanding of it by modifying an existing abstract concept.
The last stage is when the individual applies what they have learnt from the previous the task and carry out the task again to see the new results.
