Taking care of my younger siblings while my parents were out at work, I taught my siblings valuable life lessons. Learning to love one another, to not get frustrated over little things, and teaching them how to cook. From there on I started to demonstrate my leadership throughout school. From family to school, I decided to set an example of a good samaritan at school. By picking up litter that others had left lying around the school and throwing it away, it helped bring a more positive environment towards the school setting. My commitment towards making a positive impact in the community began with joining Relay For Life, which is a fundraising opportunity towards cancer research. Relay For Life has made a positive impact in the community because the money fundraised goes towards finding a cure for cancer.
