1) How would you define the problem? I would define the problem is the loss of signal, width and weight of the vehicle, how tall the vehicle, wind speed, temporary loose of signal for GPS, tires, and gas.
What are the major problem components, and what obstacles do you foresee? The major obstacles that we foresee is the loss of GPS signal, and high speed in tunnel, and wind speed
2) How fast do you need to go to complete the course of the allotted time? 18 mph
3) What is the fallacy of considering the above average speed—what do you need to consider? We would need to consider blindsides, and animals.
4) What strategies can you use to avoid obstacles? Stay in a constant speed of 18 mph but in dangerous terrain
5) What are some disadvantages of the route information you receive, in terms of the vehicle driving the route? Some disadvantages of the route information that we receive in terms of the vehicle driving is that we do not know the width of the Beer Bottle Pass, GPS doesn’t know the height and width .
6) What strategies can you use to prepare your vehicle for the route once you receive the information? Some strategies that we can use to prepare your vehicle for the route is send it on a test run before the actual test.
7) MTBCF stands for mean time between catastrophic failures. What kind of failures do you anticipate in the testing phase? The kind of failures that we anticipate wreck your car, laser falls off, GPS breaks, whole car just fails.
