Cyrano de Bergerac - Cyrano the Great

There are many accomplishments in the world done by people who are heroes. Some of their heroic deeds are simple and some heroic deeds are important to each individual life. In the novel Cyrano de Bergerac written by Edmond Rostand is a story about a man who uses poetry to sweeten ears of love and hate. Cyrano stands tall for his pride inside himself. Cyrano de Bergerac is a heroic leader because his love and emotions are strong of showing his true self.

Love is a very important subject to Cyrano. Being loved has never happened to him, the need of having some love Cyrano back is a life charm. The love of Roxanne's life is Christian, but Cyrano refers to Christian, " I'll be your cloak of darkness, your enchanted sword, your ring to charm the fairy princess" (p.86). Knowing the fact that Cyrano can't express his emotions from himself, he uses Christian, but at the same time helps him. The soft sweet poetry is coming through Christian but from Cyrano's pleasant words of love. Finally, Cyrano needs to reveal his love for Roxanne but at the end of life. Christian dies and left Cyrano of emptiness…" Over head, the moon hunge like a gold watch at the fob of heaven" (p.79). Time has come and ended, both loves were gone for Roxanne and now it expired for the future. The day was special because of an undying love by emotion but dead in physical because no one is there. There are always two sides of a person and it's bravery that goes part of expression.

A personal character can deal with enemies of all kinds with good self -esteem. Cyrano's bravery is quite different than others because he doesn't care what anyone thinks about him. As Cyrano explains to Le Bret, " The Spanish rust I wear around my throat is like a ring of enemies" (p. 77). Cyrano explains that he doesn't have many friends because most of them are enemies.
